  2. I was searching for fiber ideas when I found this article on my local news online. heres a snipit: In a study conducted at Bastyr, researchers found women who consumed more than the national daily average of fiber intake (14 grams) tended to not be overweight, while those who consumed less than the national average were more likely to be overweight. to read the whole article go here http://www.news8austin.com/content/living/health_beat/?SecID=169&ArID=155759 they have an idea food list and how much fiber is in each food, I thought it was pretty neat and I think I'm gonna eat some black beans today
  3. Bumping Successful Band Stories don't want it to get lost too many good stories here!

Yup!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! in four hours I am so outta here! LOL I have been packing cleaning doing laundry etc I am exhausted! So ready for a vacation, too bad I'm not going on one LOL. We seem to have too many plans to relax but all will be good and fun! I'll get to see my mommy and my Daddy I just hate going on vacation then spending all your time going from place to place to see everyone, I think if we took the time and gas to drive all the way to FL people could and should at least drive to see us where we are staying! Okay sorry that was my grip for the day, back to happy mode. I only get to see my mom and my dad (two differ towns) once a year so I really am happy about going. Also my lil brother 17 asked if he could come back home w/ us for a few weeks so that will be fun! Trading my two 9 and 11 for a 17 year old bro yup this could workout at least he can drive LOL I will miss LBT while I'm gone my 2 weeks, I can't promise I wont sneak off and come on line if I get time to get to a computer though! I will take lots of photos too~ yeeehaw! Hugs!
  5. Oh Delarla! I know what you meant but now I have this mental picture of someone with a clear panel tummy like you can get on your computer tower. Saying look! I have the pink floyd band! and it does the pink floyd light show! oooooo hehe thats a new kind of nightclub attire! hehe sitting here giggleing thought I'd share my mind warp
  6. Oh the more I hear the more 100% sure this is going to be wht my hubby has going on! How does a cpap work?
  7. Nana~ replied to NJChick's topic in The Lounge
Same for me~ No pregnancy detected
  8. Consult your Dr. let us know what he says, what kind of things are you trying to eat? Maybe you need to go on liquids a day or two to let your tummy swelling go down then try again on eatting? just my opinion
  9. I would love to see photos too~ Your going in on my Birthday! wish thats what I was getting for my Birthday lol! Best of luck~ Please let us know how it went
  10. Welcome to LBT~ Best of luck on your band journey!
  11. hmm, I'd call your Dr for advice. I know when I get sick like sinus stuff I cant get much and they must be liquid or mushy it's like the sinus drain clogs my drain lol. Dry heaving isn't something I've done with the band? Maybe a bug? I will get sick if I ate too fast or took too big of a bite and didn't chew correctly. When that happens I feel like I have to cough and the food comes up.
  12. Sue, This too is what I did! When I first got banded I got winded just walking to the pool 8 houses away I would put the kido's on the school bus and walk the pool every morning. Slow walk to mid walk to fast walk to a sort jog lol the best you can in water LOL now I swim laps. pool work is very good esp. if you have back issues or joint issues period. Also you may want to look into the walk a mile videos you watch in your home. I do them from Tv on demand because I dont like people watching me workout lol
  13. oooo! Best of luck to ya! See ya on the losing side Let us know how you are doing as soon as you feel up to it!
  14. woot, congrats on your first fill! It's more nerves than pain isn't it
  15. Mine also take a week or two to kick in. I agree take it slow the last thing you want is to be tight then when the fill kicks in (if your like me) after a few days then you get too tight and need ufill. Better to go slow and learn from it.
  16. Congrats! Wonderful NSV!
  17. Welcome to band land! I'm from Elgin TX and I had my surgery in Victoria TX
  18. Welcome to LBT! There are lots of threads about what to bring to the hosp, what to stock up on before you go etc. The main thing I would say is slip on shoes and something pull over to wear, if traveling far then bring 2 pillows one for your head the other for between you and the seat belt. See you in band land
  19. PinkMary that sound loverly! I love Greek salads minus the lettuce lol so this is right up my alley!
  20. "MY" Dr doesn't want me to take any fat burning weight loss pills etc. He says I need to change my habits not fall back into snacking and pill taking to lose weight.
  21. My husband came home from work once with a gross story about one of the guys he works with. He said the guy went to the bathroom and about 20 min. later came back and told him he thinks he lost 5 pounds and went on to tell him how he weighs himself before and after a BM...GROSS!!! Why would you tell your boss this?!?
  22. Oh man, best of luck to you! This is exactly what Im afraid will happen to me on my visit to FL the next 2 weeks I just got a fill last week.
  23. We have children no pets
