  1. I was banded last Thursday. Haven't gone yet either & don't feel like I have to. Have headache off and on during the day. I have been living off of. Water, jello @ Popsicles. Everything else makes me nauseous when I try to eat it. I go back to Dr tomorrow.
  2. Surgery went well. Munching on ice chips and just got first dose of pain meds since I left recovery. Had a slight scare when I got up to go to bathroom & one of the incision started bleeding. But after applying bulk dressing and getting it under control I'm ok.
  3. Well guys .... Last day of pre-op diet is over. I'm off to bed so I can report to the hospital @ 6:45. I am nothing but nerves.... Hoping I can sleep. Any last minute tips ?
  4. Well .... I am almost there !! Tomorrow is last day of pre-op. thank goodness. Its been rough especially when everyone else around you is eating all the time. Should hear by 3:30 tomorrow what time I need to be at the hospital Thursday morning. Gettin nervous as hell !!
  5. I'm getting ready to start my liquid diet this Thursday. Have surgery on the 14th. Anyone else go out for one last big meal or eat anything special ? I'd like to but for some reason the thought seems silly ? Is this a sign that food no longer has the hold on me it used to ? Thoughts ? Opinions ?

  8. I am also getting banded February 14th. I think it's an awesome Valentine's Day gift. And I told my husband he got lucky. I won't be able to go out for dinner. lol
  9. My surgery date is February 14th and we are planning a cruise in September. My hope is to go zip lining while we are on one of the islands. Plus I want to be able to keep up with my son. He is three and so full of energy. Good luck to everyone and their dreams and goals

  13. Sitting in Dr's Office .... It's finally time to pick my surgery date !!! I'm super excited !!!
  14. After being told that my Dr's office had to refax paperwork to insurance company and that it'd be another week before I heard anything..... I got a phone call this afternoon from the nurse saying I AM APPROVED !!!!!! I go next Tuesday to meet with the Dr and pick a date. I'm soooooo excited !
  15. Thanks for all the positive comments. I know that I have to be patient. And I'm trying.. Just very excited to start this journey. I love reading everyone's stories.
  16. I have been waiting since my final appt. Dec 18th to get a call from Dr's Office sayig the insurance company approved my surgery. Phone rings today & it's the Dr's Office calling. The insurance company didn't get like 8 pages of the fax do they had to refax it. Nurse said it'd be another week. I'm glad they called & told me but I am so bummed about it.
