I am on week 2 of my pre-op diet and it is similar. I can have some food and a couple of protein shakes. My birthday is next week, before my surgery and my surgeon said I could eat what I wanted that day. So, I guess we are all different.
Honestly, I'm not sure there is anything to bash here at all. That sounds right. If you are going to work out alot then you need to take in more (fuel) calories. So, it sounds like you are on the right track.
Being banded in 9 days. YEAH!!!
Chew chew chew!! Ian having surgery in a few weeks. This is one of the must do rules. My surgeon sad scrambled eggs give several of his patients a hard time. You are going to be okay. Just breathe.
I keep running into this question for myself also. I don't understand. I am going to put myself through a gastric surgery for the purpose of helping learn when and how to stop eating. I know I need help and I am hoping the band is going to do that for me. If I was able to follow the band lifestyle without help I would do that without surgery. It seems that restriction is the only way to help with when to stop, if its not there, what is the point?
Yes, I splurged and bought a Marc Jacobs dress in a 14, currently a 22/24. I'm being banded in February as well. I want to wear it for my 14 wedding anniversary in July.
Girl, I can't wait to have this household at my beck and call for a few days!!! Husband and 3 children, including a 2 yr. old, who thinks she is queen bee around here. Enjoy it!!!
All right this is my first post after lurking for months. I will be banded in February also. I'm so afraid of failing! This can not just be another diet. I truly eat my emotions. I always wonder if I am going to be mean and grouchy when I'm frustrated, because usually I just eat and move on. I really just want restriction until I can get used to my new lifestyle. Super excited but terrified. I'm glad I'm not the only one feeling this way. Good luck everyone. We are in this together.
