  1. 1. Definetly have someone drive you home - and take a pillow to hold on your stomach to prevent the jiggles and pain that comes from jiggles. I did ask for a cup of crushed ice togo since I was so THIRSTY! 2. I didn't get to the true RESTRICTION till almost month 5. So no need to have had the mentality - Last time I can eat this or that. Not True - so don't get into the LAST MEAL syndrom.

  3. I am hoping for the $196 also! You are right you can get for $299 -- you don't even need to enter the coupon. They have a special if you spend over $100 they give $20 off and the have the bugg currently $30 off. Sorry if my previous post was confusing. Good night
  4. I believe the code is BLC24. I tried it -- buying the Body Bugg and Wrist display - gave me total $80 off but nothing for the code - so maybe I have the wrong code listed above. $349 - $30 (on sale) + $99.95 - $30 (on sale) then $20 off for spending more than $100 on line (expires 11/12) TOTAL $368.95 for both BodyBugg ($319) and Display ($69.95) less $20
  5. Thanks HarleyNana! I am no where near being the perfect bandster - unfortantly I love ice cream and sweets. We are at a bad time of the year - Halloween; Anniversary; Thanksgiving; Christmas; New Years; Valentines day -- then Mother's day; May Birthday; Memorial day; Hubbys June birthday; 4th of July; Labor Day -- OKay -- I can find plenty of reasons to EAT!! LOL I do get into bad things (no where near as bad as they could get if no-band) and pull myself back into WHAT I SHOULD be doing. Just a matter -- How BAD do I want it -- Thanks again!
  6. Check out Ali's story -- I never knew.... LAP-BAND® - NR In the News
  7. Michelle - It helps me be good by brushing my teeth and taking listerine. Janie - I will keep the Cook family in my prayers! Tracy - I will be thinking about you and hope all works out well with DSS. Have a good night everyone.
  8. I have not purchased those you listed - but would be interested in your opinion once you review them. Good luck tomorrow getting them.
  9. I take the childrens motrin (liquid). I also have NSAID perscription that my Band doc said I could resume taking at my 2week post op appt. (pill form). I try not to because I am extremely tight - (too tight for some) and burns my throat and caused major reflux. Have a good day all!
  10. Hi Girls -- I am doing well. This week I have been on vacation -- just hanging out with loving hubby (it was our 15yr anniversary together, 11yrs married) - fishing, shopping, cleaning, visiting and entertaining! Today was 7month anniversary - I have lost 50lbs since surgery day and lost 46lbs in the 7 months prior surgery. I only lost 5 lbs this month - 1 lb less than the typical 6 lbs in most other months. I am at 96lbs lost and getting to 100lbs is getting to be very challenging. Hugs to everyone -- keep up the great work everyone.
  11. Hi Everyone! CTCD - excellent idea - count me in. Yesterday my husbands Aunt and Uncle visited and the only Crap I did eat was a bit of Homemade Fudge that they brought to us -- SuzieCat -- I agree "I love all of you VIOLET'S and owe you all a debt of gratitude. You have gotten me thru alot. I come here and read all your stories and can't help but be moved and inspired by your daily struggles. Thinking I was the only one going thru it. You guys have become a part of my life and I hate when I have to wait so long to get back online to see what is going on." I could have wrote this myself - thanks Suziecat! I also had the DQ Blizzard - but did not confess on here -- but how can we VIOLET's explain that many having one at that particular time?? It was the first for me since being banded -- that is erie I think. TODAY is my 7th month of being banded - and I started this Weight Loss-regain my life journey 7 months before that. I have lost 50lbs since surgery (7 lbs per month avg) and I lost 46lbs prior surgery. I am struggling to get to the 100 lbs lost mark - but with my VIOLET's - I will get there. The Braclet that Terri made me helps tremedously! THANK YOU EVERYONE! Since surgery - as follows:1st month - 11lbs112nd month - 6lbs173rd month - 6lbs234th month - 6lbs295th month - 10lbs396th month - 6lbs457th month - 5lbs 50
  12. Keri -- you are doing TREMENDOUS. I lost 29lbs (Sept-Mar) my personal trial can I do that mindset-no soda's-my biggest fear! And of course low carb and minimal rice/pasta/bread and such. I scheduled surgery Mar and got re-dedicated to dieting - lost additional 10 lbs. I lost 7 lbs during my optional pre-op diet -- I drank 3 shakes (only 750 cals a day). And the balance since surgery - as follows: 1st month - 11lbs 2nd month - 6lbs 3rd month - 6lbs 4th month - 6lbs 5th month - 10lbs 6th month - 6lbs almost to 7th month - as of today - No loss maybe 1lb gain. Hope this helps. And yes I am tight in the mornings and loosen as the day goes on.
  13. Hi Keri -- thank you as well. As far as fills go I a have had 5 and I am 7 months on November 9th. Keep up your great work!
  14. that is excellent results - Congrat's!
  15. Actually - we were posting at the same time --hahahaha ! I have been a bad bandster - and ready for TOM - it is also my anniversary/vacation week - so nothing good is going to happen. Have a good night.
  16. here you go: http://www.lapbandtalk.com/f17/before-after-pictures-pix-only-4642/ I am in Chesapeake VA
  17. I am not a nurse -- and maybe I used the wrong word. But my understanding it can puncture (??) if they do the blind tube insert -- due to the fact we have placed the restriction here - that normally does not exist. Please do research - and let me know your findings. I did it to make my husband feel better - he is a worry wort about me! Hugs.
  18. The question to ponder is why are you unconcious -- are you breathing? There is tube that they place down your throat - and if they don't know about the LapBand they can puncture your esophogus (sp?)/area due to restriction we have. The braclet let's them know - No BLIND TUBE - gastric banding. Hope that helps.
  19. Looks like $16 -- check it out: Lauren's Hope - Medical ID Bracelets, Medical ID Watches, Mothers Bracelets, and 14k Gold Bracelets
  20. Kity -- My doctor only gives antibodics when I have TMI:greenish color. You need something to relieve the symptoms - my husband swears by Alka-seltzer COLD -- cures/stops whatever if he catches at the begininig. Get well soon!
  21. Hi Mindy -- Try going to a Cracker Barrell -- they are selling braclets $5.99 that connect to a watch face (cost??). Wear your braclet and give it a shot. I am going to. When I saw them I didn't have my LHB on - I am like you getting to big. LH also will resize if you send back to them.
  22. 16-18's I want to be there! I am in 22's comfortable and 20's have a muffin top - but they zip and button. Top's 2xl. I am not losing since 10/21 (243lbs) now hoovering at 248's-- need to get rededicated - and this week should be TOM. I am thankful Halloween is over as well -- every where I go - little candy dishes out - like yesterday the vet's office, mini snickers and miniture reese's. Hmmmm.... Have a nice weekend everyone. Windy here on the coast from the storm.
  23. I am 8 days away from 7 mo anniversary - lost 52%
  24. WOW - first time in months I am actually caught up with everyone to date. Wheew - Judy - have fun and enjoy! Laura - that is weird.. Could it been a private firm serving a supena (as a witness, collection matter of unpaid item overlooked)? Kat - I am keeping you and your family in my prayers! Good night everyone.
  25. I just tried again -- showing $329 and $99 for watch -- ??? I tried on 1st and told me coupon was expired and then i got excited reading they reduced the price to $189 and such -- even in checkout - shows $329?? What am I doing wrong? Any clue?
