Can't stand canned broth, so I made my own. As far as sugar free, get the popcicle brand.

Comfort Food Saturday
Ok, frijoles done and in the fridge, navy bean soup done and cooling, vegetable soup still has a couple of hours of simmer left and my wife reminded me that today is date night and we are off to see Sandra Bullock and George Clooney in Gravity (IMAX 3D). That and my kitchen looks like a bomb exploded in it. That and CG never showed with the beer.

CG, if it tastes like chicken, either you have been eating bad chicken, or are eating bad fish.

Comfort Food Saturday
Ok, vegetable soup is in the crock pot, although vegetable stew will be closer to the truth. Used vegetable broth rather than beef or chicken so I will be able to share it with a vegetarian co-worker.

I love salmon, but it has to be Pacific salmon, none of that Atlantic stuff.

Comfort Food Saturday
Sweetie, when I cook I can feed the neighborhood. Just not worth it otherwise. By the time today is done, I will have a freezer full of meals. Soooo much better than store bought food.

Comfort Food Saturday
Feeling the fall this morning: It is comfort food Saturday. Frijoles refritos, Navy bean Soup and sautéed mushrooms in garlic and olive oil currently on the stove. Shells and cheese and vegetable soup waiting in the wings. Who says you can't enjoy food with the band!

Which WL App is the best? - NONE
"Despite finding that weight loss mobile apps have a long way to go when it comes to incorporating proven behavioral strategies into their features, obesity scientist Dr. Sherry Pagoto, who led the research team, thinks that the apps are a "fantastic start.""

ObamaCare Facts & Myths
**Sigh** I wasn't defending the entire site, I took 2 examples to try and prove my point, that just because a site has bias, doesn't mean that what it is saying is necessarily false. My point is that by knowing the bias, we can take it into account in filtering the information. My point also was that some claims are so stupid, that regardless of the bias of the site, I can disregard them: Such as the ACA implanting RFID chips and Muslims being expempted. (both of which claims I heard on "Man on the Street" interviews on the way to work this morning. Sorry if I was unclear. And now we know your bias. Doesn't mean that what you are saying is false, it simply means that I will not expect to hear anything from you that would contradict your bias.

ObamaCare Facts & Myths
2Much, I agree to you up to a point, which is why you need to try to be aware of the bias of the people presenting the information. But there is also the BS factor, I listened to "man on the street" interviews this morning were several of the people came out and said that the ACA would be implanting chips in everyones arms so that the government could track you, 'No chip, No healthcare" Now, I don't have to "Wait and see" to know that is utter nonsense and is not part of the bill. Same with the "Muslims are exempted from the ACA". Many (Not all) of the things being listed on that site are of that genre, and no, I don't have to wait and see if they are really true.

You may have already gathered this Missy, but we are never going to agree on this subject. I am a proud supporter of the ACA and it is something that should have been done decades ago. I see a lot of FUD being spread, I'm not concerned. They want to raise my taxes to give health care to the poor? As long as they raise the taxes on the 1% I am good with it. Papa John's wants me to pay .50 more per pizza, so that they can afford to give their employees health care? Go for it, make it .75 cents and give them a better plan. I have worked hard all my life, and I am willing to part with some of the results of that hard work so that those that are less fortunate than myself have a better life.

No, everyone is not! We have already been told not to expect any major changes in our coverage or our costs due to the ACA, and my employer wouldn't hesitate to pass the increases along.

Any one get the blues for no apparent reason after surgery?
From what I have read, this is very common. Whether it is the lifestyle change or a result of the trauma of surgery I don't know. I know there are times I get frustrated because I can't misuse food to deal with stress or emotional issues and I have to look for alternate methods of dealing.

Cheryl, I have never liked a post you have made more than this one. Thank you for speaking up, for the millions of people in this country who are dying for lack of health care.- Am I weird?
That would have been me as well.- Is It True What They Say???
Now, somebody refresh my memory. Is it length or width that makes a difference?- Quick question...Myth or Fact?
Altitude seems to be a culprit, and while there is no discomfort I need to be more careful when flying or vacationing at high altitudes. YMMV- Aspartame
You would really be in heaven if they would only come put with beer flavored crystal light.- Eating slow is hard
8 months for me and I still wrestle with this. Try chopsticks- Worst decision of my life - removed & still handicapped & chronic pain
I totally agree with you on this point and I think morbid obesity definitely falls into that category.- Do you miss favorite foods
I can't speak to the beer part, but raw fruits and vegetables are scary for me and so I was avoiding them like the plague, then I bought a ninja blender and I am not having any problems getting my 5 servings a day. This morning's Breakfast will consist of fresh pineapple, a gala apple, spinach, greek yogurt and a scoop of Protein powder.- Anyone have an opinion on Thermogenics?
Here is your energy source Caffeine 66.00 mg There have been studies that show that caffeine before strenuous exercise helps with muscle fatigue and muscle recovery. For multiple hour rides/hikes, I actually crush and add a couple of caffeine tablets to a Protein smoothie about hour before the ride/hike. Here is something you may want to take a look at: http://www.sportlegs.com/ It really helps combat lactate acid build up. - boycotting CVS....
