Greek Yogurt weird question
I have used multiple brands and they all separate. I'm with Chelenka, if you find a brand that doesn't separate I wouldn't want to eat it

Chia seeds
If we could loose 60 pounds from our bellies by eating chia seed shakes, we wouldn't have needed weight loss surgery. I am banded, so I can't speak to your particular concern, but I do mix chia seeds into my morning Protein shake, but I do it for their nutritional value, not for weight loss (that is what the surgery was for). They are high in protein, Fiber, potassium and Calcium, all things that our bodies need. FYI, they will turn your shake very thick, and they are also supposed to help moderate sugar spikes.

OK, I'll admit it....
Nope, not me. Not gonna happen. I don't watch this, the biggest loser or any other "reality" show that deals with weight. IMHO there purpose is not to help, but to profit form the pain and suffering of those who are fat.

How Does the Affordable Care Act (“Obamacare”) Affect You?
Filled my prescriptions for the first time this year, substantially lower costs. Thank you Obamacare!

rewarding yourself when you are losing weight tips
The reward system doesn't work for me, as my wife points out if I want something I go ahead and buy it. Athough I have committed to completing a century before I buy my new pellet smoker.

Mothers and Husbands
I would suggest that you visit a professional counselor to get an outside perspective on your feelings of guilt from her manipulation. That is what my wife and I did, and it helped her considerably. There are people in this world how are only happy when they are controlling the lives of those around them. Her concern is not for the happiness of you are your family, but only for her own. Give in and it has the possibility of destroying everything that you hold dear.

1 Yr Banndiversary
Well, one year ago today I was introduced to Mistress Band, 60 pounds lighter, down from a 46" waist to a 36". Shopping in the "normal" section and having to buy slim cuts shirts. Not getting winded when I walk a couple of miles, riding farther, faster and longer are just a few of the changes. First time I have made it through the holiday season without a substantial gain, let alone a loss. Funny thing is, I just feel like I am starting to understand my band after a year, I have another 40 pounds to loose, but I'm in no hurry. I am enjoying my life, and while WLS has not solved all my problems, it has made a substantial difference in the quality of my life.

How often do you get a fill?
After the first 5 weeks I got a fill every two weeks, never more than a 1 cc, and less toward the end. Final fill of .25 cc put me too close to the red zone and I had it taken out a month later. I think I am 5 or 6 cc in a 10 cc band.

Are you happier now that you are thinner?
I think this is the key B-52, she was not unhappy with all the benefits of weight loss, she was unhappy with the work that it took to lose it and maintain it afterwards, as well as the anxiety of the failure that she knew would eventually come. For me that is the difference now, versus pre-WLS, I don't have the anxiety about it.

Is your weight loss surgeon morbidly obese?
When I was in online WW, there was a Bariatirc specialist who was there also, he weighed over 400 pounds if I remember correctly and was very defensive about it. Said "people came to him for what he knows, not what he does"

Is your weight loss surgeon morbidly obese?
Skinny as a rail and the only person in his office that doesn't have the band.

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/rachel-ohuiginn/i-am-happier-heavier_b_4413458.html?ncid=edlinkusaolp00000009 Interesting perspective. My only observation is that I am not as anxious over gaining my weight back or about reaching goal, the LB has created a new "normal" for me.

Have you ever been chastised by another doctor for having weight loss surgery?
Bander here. My surgeon actually gave me liquid NSAIDS after my surgery. His only concern was the possibility of the pill sitting in the stoma and ulcerating the lining. I occasionally take them now, but use a pill crusher just to be on the safe side.

not so friendly reminder from my band
As the rest have said, "Been there, done that".
