  1. Thanks I do not have Newks I go for my first appointment tomorrow and I am going to see if I can have regular cottage cheese instead of blended. Also when I get up and walk around even for a little bit I can feel my heart just pounding like I am using every bit of energy possible to walk. Also having a hard time watching my family shove their face with pizza, pasta and much more. My family including husband was not very supportive about the surgery so they want nothing more than to see me fail or have a breakdown.
  2. I was sleeved Dec. 10 and I'm am feeling a little depressed. I do not like broth or soups at all anymore. As of right now I drink 2 protein shakes a day and 32 oz of water. I am feeling very weak.
  3. Thanks butterthebean really inspirational. It's hard because my family is expecting me to fail because they did not support me at all having the surgery, I feel like I can show no weakness. That's why it is great to talk on this site and get all the support I need.
  4. Thanks for the motivation much needed
  5. So very true, I've only had the surgery for a week and I am finding myself a little depressed because I have lost my one true love, food. I am becoming more aware of how awful society is with the constant display of food. I never broke my relationship with food before surgery so I am forced to do it now. Although I am very irritable I know it will get easier one day at a time and in the end all worth it.
  6. Thank you so much I need the support so bad right now. I just tried the shake with water what a miracle I took once sip and no gag Thank You Thank You Thank You!
  7. Hi my name is Janel I had my gastric sleeve surgery 12/10/12 and am struggling with my protein intake because I keep gagging every time I try to drink it. I have horrible head hunger I don't think anyone or thing could have prepared me for this struggle, I am hoping it gets easier. As far as the surgery went everything was fine recovery was a breeze minimal pain, I do not have any regret but much doubt in myself. I am trying to remain positive but it seems like everyday is a month and I won't be able to eat solid foods forever. On the plus I have lost 17 pounds in the past 9 days ( that includes the 3 days before surgery). If anyone has any support or even similar stories please share.
