Anyone not told kids about their lapband
I didn't tell mine. I didn't want to give them a complex about their weight (even though they are all revoltingly thin).

Weekly Exercise Thread - 3/17/08
Did my first day of couch to 5k today. Felt great!!!

NEED a good sports bra.
I'm only in week 1 of my comprehensive 45 week training. Right now I'm at "walk to treadmill". Whew, good workout!

Lap Band and Metabolism
Well I'm not sure about the metabolism thing, but I can say that the bigger part of the stomach won't get hungry. The nerves that trigger the full feeling are at the top.

NEED a good sports bra.
I don't care how they LOOK in my basement on the treadmill. I just don't want them in my face every other stride.

Biggest Loser
Ali got on my nerves before with all her "like" "like" "like". It hasn't been as bad since she's been back. But why is she buddying up with the guys? She should have been trying to get those guys OUT so she could win!!! I'm surprised the guys aren't voting each other out yet for the same reason. If I was Dan (or Mark or Jay or Roger) I'd want to be in the final 4 with 3 girls!!

NEED a good sports bra.
I ordered an Enell at a heartbreaking $60. I just got one. LOL I'll let you know!

NEED a good sports bra.
Thanks! I will check them all out. Wish I was at goal so I could buy like 5 and not have to do laundry every day. Oh well, soon.

NEED a good sports bra.
NEED. Boobs currently 42F. F is for Floppy, I think. Trying to do Couch to 5k on my treadmill, and have to hold boobs up with my hands. Not ideal. Ended up having to shove mp3 player in bra with boobs. Also not ideal. Where'd you get a good solid one? Will accept steel. Just want girls to stay up there while I run. I'm almost to the point where I can tuck them in my pants pockets, but not quite. Thanks for any links provided. And my boobs thank you, too.

Anyone else a closet Weight Watcher?????
I'd lost 10lbs since I was last there in October, and I didn't tell them crap about my surgery. LOL I just took my congrats and sat down.

Can anyone eat bread? I know I can't!
I've had one fill and can eat bread of any kind. French fries are another story.

Women on Biggest Loser???
I think it's interesting that the guys are voting the girls off. If I was one of those guys, I'd want to be in the final 4 with 3 girls so I could WIN. I said in the other BL thread, they need to either have girl/guy only shows, OR they need to find smaller men. It's not fair to have a guy with 250lbs to lose against a girl with 80lbs to lose. It's questionable if it's even fair to have them both with the SAME to lose. Our bodies just work differently. And I agree on Kelly, she's been driving me nuts for over a month. Quit whining already!!!! SO glad they straightened her hair, though, she looked FANTASTIC.

*&^%$@* Scale is broken ...
Mine is always right. Not sure yet if that's good or bad. A little of both. LOL

Weekly Exercise Thread - 3/17/08
I have been SUCKING. Well, not literally, that'd be more exercise than I've been getting. LOL I've been working on redoing our kitchen floor. Which involves removing the old floor, removing wallpaper (I tend to get carried away), painting, etc. No time for ANYTHING. But I'm going to get on the ball. I'm going to make it my goal to run a marathon the first half of next year. Considering I can't even walk for 30 minutes without wishing i was dead, this will be no easy feat. So, Couch to 5k, here I come!

Scared of Needles?
I think pregnancy cures needle fear. LOL After having 5 kids, I really don't care who sticks me when or where.

Salad and Heartburn
I had a panera salad over the weekend (twice, couldn't finish it in one try), and didn't have any problems with it. And it was YUMMY! I missed my salads!

Biggest Loser
I was just saying the other day that they need to have either all women or all men, or AT LEAST start picking smaller men. It's not fair to have a guy with 250 lbs to lose against a woman with 80 lbs to lose. I mean, seriously.

I'm in ONEderland, Baby!
Congrats to you! What a major milestone!!

Overwhelmed by amount to lose
Not sure if I posted this, but I always think it when I see this thread. When I was at 100lbs to go and feeling totally overwhelmed, my husband said "just lose 20". I of course told him he was an idiot and 20lbs wasn't going to make a damn bit of difference. He said "20 is on the way to 100". I still thought he was an idiot, but really he's right. Every 1lb is that much closer to your goal. I'm always just aiming for the next number down on the scale. I don't much think about the 60+ I need to lose, just that next ONE.

Pin up Shoto Shoot??
I'd also be more than happy to do some of this stuff free for my lapband sistas! :mad2:

Husband had Lapband surgery Friday - I have questions
It could be the port. I remember feeling mine as a lump, and since it wasn't where I thought it was, I was convinced I had cancer or something.

Ideal Weight
I'm 5'7" also, and at 145 I look like a dinosaur. Head too big for body, bones sticking out everywhere. People were telling me I was too thin (of course I still saw fat fat fat). I can't imagine what they'd have said in the 120s. My goal is 156 for now. I was a size 8 at that weight, and that's all I can really ask for. Not all 5'7"s are alike, you have to pick your own number. You may get to 170 and decide you'd like to lose another 30, or you might be happy there. It's really your call!

Freakin Weekend
Ok I'm a crackhead, I meant this for the Too much information thread. LOL

Anyone doing Weight Watchers (or similar) as well as having the band?
I'm pretty sure a serving of wine is only 2 points, Julie!
