  1. I'm still only down 2 of those 7 but I think I know what happened. I started a diuretic for my bp the same day as the diet. I probably peed out the first few pounds, and then reabsorbed them or something. Grr.
  2. Well, lets do this! You all start sending me recipes and I'll start compiling them. If there aren't enough recipes/people for an entire book, I'll just send the PDF to whomever contributed and you can just print it out at home. Does that work for everyone? Send all your recipes to lbtrecipes@gmail.com I'll let you know in a few days how many we have! :tongue2:
  3. I'm on the preop diet, so I'm pretty much killing myself. Eating between 600-700 calories a day. I know my weight fluctuates from day to day, so I didn't immediately run to Krispy Kreme or anything. I just didn't even know it was POSSIBLE to gain/retain 7lbs in ONE DAY! lol
  4. I'm 7 lbs more this morning than yesterday morning. WTF??
  5. That's the beauty of it! It'll just be full of great recipes!
  6. Well, right now I'm on Medifast and still having to feed everyone. I'm just eating at the same time as they are and honestly, it hasn't bothered me too bad. They're stuff definitely looks more tempting than mine is, but this is a short period of time and soon I'll be able to have more than just tasteless soup.
  7. I did some poking around yesterday, and I think we can get them printed for under $5 each. As long as we order 200.
  8. My advice would be to start slowly weaning yourself off carbs. I started Medifast suddenly, and the first 3 days I thought I was going to DIE!!
  9. Woo hoo! Thanks for the update! Tell us all about it when you're up to it!

That soda wouldn't have tempted me at all. Funny, huh?

    Maybe they're all short. LOL
  12. I don't set formal "goals" really. Just always looking for that next new number ending in 9 on the scale. The 4s are fun too. I agree that it can leave you frustrated to say "I want to lose 20lbs by X" and then that day comes and you've lost 18 and you've failed. It's hard to focus on the fact that you lost 18 pounds!
  13. My first appointment with Dr Curry was Jan 16th. I did the seminar, psych consult, and dr consult in one trip down (2 days). My surgery is Feb 12th. So that's less than a month from when I started. His price includes fills for a year or 2? I think 2. I'm not sure how much he charges if you weren't banded there, but I remember it being reasonable.
  14. I've also got a bunch of water in the car for the ride home (3.5 hours!). I'll probably bring some broth, too.
  15. That is super scary, I only have to do one day of liquids. I can't tell you how much I'm looking forward to yogurt! LOL
  16. Wow, that is a bunch! Good luck to all of you!!
  17. Yup! That's for sure! I am a photographer, so the day before I started my preop diet, I made my husband come to my studio and take my before pictures. I took them in street clothes, yoga pants, and then a set in my bra and underwear. They were pretty depressing to look at that day, but when I pull them out 6 months from now I'll be glad I did it.
  18. Thinking of you today!!
  19. Well my Blackberry goes without saying, that goes everywhere with me. I also threw my travel pouch in there, which has all my toiletries. I keep those packed so I don't have to think about it. And clearly I don't. LOL

Also, although Allison is mildly less annoying this season than last, I still don't like her. Why does she close her eyes when she talks to people? Can we get Jeff Probst please?
  21. Angie4b1g ....... 237.8 ..... 205......... 231.4.......... 26.4
  22. Here's an idea I've been throwing around in my head. What if we all contributed our favorite recipes, and then I typed them up into a cookbook. Then I could have them printed and bound and we'd each have one (you'd just pay the cost of printing/binding/shipping, I'm not out to make money, just compile your recipes ). I've done this with a couple of my other internet groups, and I ADORE those books! It's great to have a book with recipes that you know people have tried and enjoyed, not just crap people made up to fill a book, kwim? They wouldn't be anything fancy by any stretch of the imagination, just your typical fundraiser cookbooks, paper with a plastic binding. If there's enough interest, I'll start another thread with the details. If not, I'll go back to my cave. :frown:
  23. I thought about the same thing! I don't have the answer, but I just thought I'd tell you that you weren't alone.
