  1. I am right there with you. Two days before and symptoms like crazy!
  2. I am sitting here thinking about the new year that is upon us and i have a question: What is your goal weight? I have been asked this a couple of times and I don't really have one. I just want to be comfortable in my own skin again. I have always been a plus sized girl. Even in high school I was wearing a 3x t-shirt. My goal is to not shop in Lane Bryant. Do you have a goal weight or do you have a general goal you'd like to share?
  3. Good luck tomorrow! Trust everyone on the sugar free Popsicles. I am six days post-op and I think I am addicted. LOL
  4. I am no expert as I was just banded on the 19th. I will say that the band does not make the cravings stop. My brother cooked last night and I had a serious moment of weakness but I held it together. You are investing in your future so you are doing the right thing. I don't know if you can mess up the diet. You will see that drs orders are very different and I am not sure what your doctor would say/do. Stay strong. We are all in this together. ???…
  5. I received Liquid Lortab and Phenergan for nausea.
  6. Merry Christmas, December Bandsters! Hope you all have a wonderful holiday. Peace and blessings to each of you.
  7. We were banded on the same day. December 19th! Glad to hear all is going well with you. All is well on my end.
  8. Thanks for sharing. I have PCOS and Metabolic Syndrome- insulin resistant. I completely understand that weight could be attributed to something bigger going on in your body. Glad you are having success.
  9. I have a friend that is being banded in Shreveport on the 27th. I am in Baton Rouge.
  10. Can you delete it and download it again?
  11. I really needed that tonight. Awesome post! My family came in tonight and while its great seeing them they are a reminder of the way life used to be. As I type this, my brother is in the kitchen fixing himself a snack. It is 10:47 right now. A year ago, a month ago... I would have been in there with him. I was banded Wednesday and this is the beginning of MY journey. I cannot stress that to my family enough. We all have our cards to play, this is my hand and I have my eyes set on the jackpot!
  12. I know at times this weight loss thing can be frustrating. I am newly banded so I can't really speak to the plateaus that some have with the band. Stay encouraged and know that you will start losing again. Where are you in Louisiana? Are you in a support group? Just asking because I am in louisiana.
  13. What kind of vitamins are you all taking and how often?
  14. That's around the time I began to get hungry too. I think because your body had to adjust from surgery and your stomach has to adjust to the band, your appetite was confused. I am four days post op and my appetite is slowly starting to come around.
  15. Welcome!!! I am relatively new too. I was banded last week. This forum has been a great resource to me because you are hearing everything from people who have experienced it. I have asked questions and received answers. People seem very open and willing to talk. Best of luck to you. Keep us posted.
  16. Wow. Looking at some of your posts i have wondered how long some of you have been banded. You all are truly an inspiration to us newbies. I can only hope and pray I have the same success with my newly places band.
  17. Congrats RN925, on setting your date. You are not alone in this. I went back and forth too. I was banded this past Wednesday and haven't looked back. This forum has really helped me. Keep us posted.
  18. My post op instructions say two weeks.
  19. Glad you fixed it. I was about to reply that i havent had any problems. I am naturallyblu2 if you would like a new pal
  20. Thanks. After reading this thread I began to wonder about that. I was banded Wednesday. I can have creamy Soups and I am supposed to drink Water but I just wanted to double check. For the last two days I couldn't drink much but today I am extremely thirsty.
  21. Untamed, I know what you mean about the car. When I met my husband I was driving a Honda Accord. I had to upgrade because of the room issue. My mom enjoys my Accord though.
  22. If you don't mind me asking, Floridays, how long have you been banded?
  23. Good for you!!! My husband is a huge fan of Mario Batali. We have never been to any of his restaurants but I bet the food was delicious. Glad you were able to find something on the menu. That is the one thing I worry about.
  24. I think all my NSVs will have something to do with clothes. I have a beautiful pair of pants from Nordstroms that I have not worn in years. I refused to get rid of them and yes they are still in my closet. They are my motivation. I told my nutritionist that I don't have a number set as a goal. I want to get out of Lane Bryant! (LOL)
