This is a fair Question. I too heard that some people have relationship problems after wls. But I made the choice to get healthy and Love Myself enough to take this Journey for me. not stay heavy for the comfort of others What quality relationship would i have with bad health?

Hope you get an Approval soon! I had to do the calling of the insurance my self. I was approved Today. But my first few phone call they tried to deny me. But I already started a thread on that just giving you insight. Good luck!

I have said this before but Y'all 2013 is Diva time.

This week. Thanks I mean I put out calls to the coordinator she never called me back etc. so I had to advocate for my self. But you all encouraged me. Dancing Now. I feel like its my birthday! Lol Thanks

Thanks You all are very supportive. I would have left it up to the coordinator expecting her to Do what only I could do, that is question the policy change. Because they could not back up that statement that my policy didn't cover it. Any how it okay Now. I feel like its my Birthday. Lol

Okay I called the insurance company BCBS il and at that time i was told that I was Denied. Bummer! They said that my company excluded WLS. After telling me for several months that they cover it. Wait. I called them several times afterwards to find out why. And i also called my Hr lady too. I asked BCBS for a copy of the policy that said my company excluded WLS. Finally after getting the run around they said I'm approved! I'm so excited! But waiting on a written letter of Approval. Thanks for the support.

I especially Thank you for literally walking me through this. Okay the Supervisor of Bcbs suddenly said I am Approved after I ask for her boss. I wasn't mean but persistent Yay! Hooray .

Well I Am Approved yea! It took 3hours of run around and about several phone calls! Thank you all

Thanks for the support. Because man am I frustrated. I been in this program for 7 months. With all the things I have endured this is stuff! But I have to be strong and keep trying. I mean my coordinator has not called me back. But I'll call the insurance again.

That is a good idea. But waiting for the insurance Supervisor to call me back. My Hr lady was not aware of any changes. My coordinator is slow with follow up too. So this is frustrating been in this program since June /12. I think my diagnosis that the coordinator sent in is wrong instead of obesity, it should be Morbid Obesity my bmi is 42.8. I'm very frustrated. Thanks

Got denied today. The insurance coordinator submitted my info with the diagnosis of "obesity". My bmi is 42.8. Which is morbid. Obesity. So it sounds like that must be the diagnosis. But BCBS il , is even saying that my policy excluded it. Now I'm getting the run around. I have called my Hr etc. but the diagnosis I think is the problem. I have osteoarthritis and Migraine headache.

Hi Today, I called the coordinator and she submitted my case to BCBS il on the 12/27 So, I call the insurance and they denied me. Smh Saying that my policy recently excluded WLS and the diagnosis of Obesity. My weight is 257. Now I'm getting the run around. Because I believe most of their info isn't true. They have told me since last July that I'm covered.
