  8. I was told I was a low bmi starting weight is 229 in fact the only reason I was approved for the surgery was the high blood pressure and a thyroid condition. I think he just generalized me with everyone. He has every one doing the same pre op diet.
  9. 7 days into my diet..I caved. I had some boneless Buffalo wings at 2am. I was starving I have been barely eating anything but shakes the last week. I wish I understood this diet. Some people don't even have a pre surgery diet and I'm on one for two weeks. Does it not matter for some to have a shrunk liver but for others to have one. ..still feel guilty though
  10. I am getting nervous but I am super excited also.
  11. So happy it was found! ! I hope you get well soon
  12. My surgery date is Sept 10! I am going on my full liquid diet tomorrow i had started a few days early just to ease myself into this diet. its NOT easy. I have caved a few times and ate a cracker or a piece of cheese. I am so excited though Hoping to make a few friends as I go along this journey

  16. Having my last appt and getting blood work tomorrow cant wait to be banded on the 10th. Im also on day 6 of the liquid diet ive cheated twice but luckily with chicken so it wasnt to bad. But I am determined to stay on track!!
  17. Two week pre op diet is complete meal replacement shakes or are you eating jellos puddings juices im confused. My dietitian was saying to eat luke your in week 5 post op which doesnt make any sense because everyone else seems to be liquids
  18. I work on a surgery floor at the hopsital and its very common its from the gas they pump in to you. Some people absorb it very quickly whike others it can take weeks. The onky way to help it get absorbed faster is walking. Walk any chance you get it breaks up the gas sitting in your joints and gets absorbed by the body. You feel it in your shoulder but its really the pressure sitting on a nerve that travels up that way.
  19. Thank you. My headache got so bad I actually threw up. I cant believe I am this addicted to caffeine that I get physically sick.
  20. Day 1 of my 2 week full liquid diet. Wish me luck that the next 13 days are this easy! First day wasnt so bad. I have an awful headache though that I think is related to a soda withdrawl.
