  1. My date is September 3rd. The day after labor date. I was hoping to have a date in August, but they were booked. September will be okay though. My kids will be in school so I will be able to recover easier. The only thing that stinks about that date, is that it is the first day of school for my kids and my little guy is going off to kindergarten that day. So, I'm dealing with that emotion today too. He's my baby and my last one at that, so feeling crappy about not being there.
  2. That's great! I hope u have a great recovery too!
  3. I don't have a weight goal. I'll have to see how I feel and look when I get there! However, I do have the goal of getting rid of my diabetes, high blood pressure, gerd, leg & back pain!!!
  4. That is absolutely amazing! Great job! How much have you lost all together? And how long has it been since u had surgery?
  5. That would be good luck I mean, but it doesn't hurt to have God in there too! He will play a big part in our surgery and recovery!
  6. I got my date today too. September 3rd for me...I'm happy the day as finally arrived! God luck to you as well
  7. I got my surgery date today and that made it very real to me. It seems like Ive been waiting for this date since February, and I'm kinda freaking out that I'm scheduled. I'm nervous, happy, scared, excited all at the same time!
  8. Hi All, well this is my very first post and this thread has intrigued me enough to ask a question. I'm pre-op and I see my surgeon on Friday. I'm hoping that I will get my surgery date! Anyways, on the topic of acid reflux. I have it pretty bad now in which I take prilosec on a daily basis. When I was weighing my decision on the RNY vs the sleeve, my surgeon indicated that my reflex would be more of a problem with the sleeve. I'm curious to know if anyone has resolved acid reflex post-op. The only two concerns I have about the sleeve for me is the acid and the type 2 diabetes. In which I'm hoping both will go away with the weight loss!
