  2. Hey Guys when you see someoneiusedtobe on my fitness pal, its me. I added all of you! if I missed someone please add me. It is so comforting to have a group of people who are going through the same things I am. Thank you!!
  3. Great story! Keep up the fantastic work!
  4. Dec 4 I just had my lapband. I was crossfitting 6 months ago and kept getting injured. I am anxious to get started but don't want to start too soon and mess up my band. I also had hiatal hernia surgery they found when they went in. Any help would be great!
  5. Don't let anyone get in your way. You know its horrible but when we (fat people) work out people are judgmental, but when we don't whats the first thing they tell us? WORKOUT. Seriously, you got lapband for yourself and now you are going to go workout for yourself! Keep up the good work and hold your head high!
  6. Hello, I am 6 days post op and looking for workout/lapband friend. If you are within 30 miles of these cities. Let me know please!
  7. Good Luck! I was banded Tuesday and very happy about it!! Let us know how you feel after surgery!!
  8. Congrats getting through it!!! It gets better I promise. I am 6 days post up. Yummy peppermint mocha, I will have to try it!! GOOD LUCK!!
  9. Hi! I was banded Tuesday and also had the hiatal hernia surgery. I had that same feeling you are getting. Feel like a tightness in the chest area as the Water is going down. But chicken broth, I have no problem with. I am on Day 6 and today finally I got a little relief while drinking water or Protein drinks. Its not a horrible pain, but a discomfort and feels like a lot of air to me. Congratulations on your band and good luck!!
  10. Jojo, I also was banded on 12/4. First few days felt like I was punched in the stomach but now on Day 6 I almost feel normal again, EXCEPT for a tightness when I drink Water. Soups, ice pops, etc go down fine, just water. Which I find odd because its the thinniest consistancy. I have two incisions. I am assuming one of those incisions is where my port is located. I go back this week for a follow-up visit. My doctor doesn't even consider doing a fill until 4 week out. (if he even does one he told me) I am glad for this forum and being able to talk about our feelings and what we are going through. It was a huge decision to get this done!! Good Luck Jojo.
  11. Kim, I hope everything goes well. Keep us posted please.
  12. GOOD LUCK and welcome!!! I have been banded since Tuesday and very happy so far!!
  13. Gosh, I was so nervous also going into the surgery this past Tuesday. I have never had an operation before and had tons of anxiety. Being on this site before the surgery really helped calm my nerves. From what I can tell is that if you follow the Doctors orders to the tee, things go much smoother. I am still on liquids and looking forward to real foods on Dec 25. The GREAT thing is I get full after 4 0z of food. That is fantastic for me, because in the past I would never get full. I would eat dinner leave the restaurant and come home and eat more. I never was satisified. Now I am satisfied I am on Day 5 and things are getting a little easier now. No more gas pains, taking my Vitamins eating my Soups. I look for to 2013 and my weight loss adventure. Thank you for everyones post, they not only inform me, but inspire me!!
  14. Hi Lisa, I am taking all in liquid form: Multivitamin Calcium b12 Bioton Pro-biotics. I was basically taking all these before my surgery this past Tuesday, but now I have added in the Calcium. Hope you are doing well.!!
  15. My name on fitnesspay is: SomeoneIusedtoBe

  17. I absolutely love take oit hot and sour soup, but beware each cup has about 1500 mg sodium!!!
  18. Isopure Zero. 40 grams of protein. its been helping me. 2 days post op.
  19. Hey Guys, I am 2 days post op. I did a 5 day pre-op. I went into surgery at 9 and came out of room at 10:30 home by 11. I have a little tightness while drinking clear fluids and my broth. I am assuming it is because I am still swollen. Did anyone have this and if so how long did it take for the tightness to go away. It only last a few seconds....but its different. I have been getting up walking around, it just feels like i did 7,000 sit ups. I don't even want to eat, lol never thought I would say that. Today I start liquid Soups and puddings. I weighed myself this morning and couldn't believe my eyes. 18 pounds in a week. Needless to say I am pretty excited. Thank you everyone for all your posts and knowledge I have learned. Also can someone tell me how to attach my tickers and how to update it? Thank you!!
  20. Actually I feel the same way. I am not telling anyone. Only my mom, dad and my sis know Good luck! I get banded Dece 4!
