Thanks everyone for the feedback. It helps a lot to know there are supportive people out there who know exactly what I'm feeling.

I am 2 weeks post op and feeling great. Starting to get an apatite back. How did you all control yourselves from not eating the entire house once your apatite came back?

I had the fever ans body aches too. I also have had the "why did I do this" feeling but as everyone else says I'm trying to stay positive ans look at the future. I am here for anyone who needs to talk as well!! Thanks for everyone's support and encouragement.

I'm day 4 and had a rough day today. My pain seems to come and go now but when it comes, it comes with a vengeance. I'm so hungry and have a hard time even sipping liquids. I just keep telling myself "it will get better!"

This was my second time getting the band. My previous band slipped which was also the cause of my hernia. This time was a lot more painful with both procedures over just the band but to me that was suspected. I am on day 4 post op and every day seems to be a little better. You will do just fine having both. Like the others have said, it's very common. My doctor also did both procedures.

I had both procedures done last Friday. So far so good for me!

Smellslikecoffee, Thanks for your post. It makes me feel a lot better and I'm now breathing like crazy to get that gas out. Lol I'm anxious to start feeling better anytime now!

IP9, Yes that is exactly how I feel. My chest is tight, hurts to take a deep breath, I can feel the liquids as they go down. Just very uncomfortable all together. Hoping it gets better soon. I had the band previously and don't recall it being as painful as this time so I'm assuming it's from the hernia repair.

Hi everyone, I had the band put in Friday 12/7. I also had a hiatal hernia fixed at the same time. The gas pains are under control for the most part but I am having a hard time with liquids. It's painful to swallow and I feel like even liquids are getting stuck. I'm assuming I'm still very swollen which is why I am having these issues. Any insight?? Thanks!
