  1. I would have given my kingdom for some diarrhea I had the other problem and almost 6 months later often still do.
  2. I should have said see your doc. My typing is awful today.
  3. So you doc and don't be shy about telling him what happened. Accidents will happen.
  4. It's America. We can all have our opinions and that is what makes US great! you don't need his support.
  5. It's Audrey saying she is still there!
  6. Banded almost 6 months ago and now at a stand still. Bounce back and forth with 2 pounds for a few weeks, then lose 4 or so and start the bounce again. Gets a little tiring, but don't give up. Put on my "big boy" pants, which aren't as big as they were 64 pounds ago, and buck up. Have 2 fills will get 3rd next week and hope to see a darker green. Sort of Lime right now, looking for Forest!
  7. My tushie and legs, thighs but can't get rid of belly. Pants sizes are not the same as when I weighed this weight several years ago. PA says it might be because of scar tissue from previous abdominal surgeries since 2006. He said I might have to have more surgery to remove the scar tissue. UGH! Manboobies are gross and may need uplift there too. UGH!
  8. My surgeon wanted apnea test. Showed positive so got machine. he would not do Endoscopy or surgery unless I had machine at the hospital with me. Never used it once for either. Medicare took it away because I could not use it by their rules. It was like trying to sleep with an anaconda attached to my face. No one believes me that I am an insomniac. My Tech that helped me, or tried to help me, said she had never seen anyone with such broken sleep patterns in the 25 year of her work. She wondered how I was still standing and walking. It is now 5:50 am and I and I have been to bed three times tonight and maybe have a total of 2 hours sleep, maybe 3 if I am lucky. Going strong and no machine and only mild sleeping drugs. The doc's tried all the really heavy knock out drugs and all I did was sleep walk and sleep eat. Really great for a bariatric patient, right?
  9. I on the other hand have no issue with salad. After 6 weeks and I was on solid food I had a little lettuce to see if I had issues. No issues, but I do eat slowly and chew like crazy. Lettuce is finger food as far as I am concerned. I eat the protein portion of the salad and the just have a little green, orange, or what ever color as desert sort of. Tried a small Waldorf salad with apple, walnuts, grapes. Cut the grape in 4 pieces as it was a big fella and had not issue.
  10. 5 months out, 2 fills, with 3 next week. and have lost around 60 pounds, but still don't feel restricted. I guess we are each different in our weight loss.
  11. There is a video on You tube that shows what happens when you drink after eating with a full pouch. It pushes the food through faster than it should go down and you become hungry again. All the above postings are correct about that.
  12. Had surgery 5 months ago and for a few days I could not lie down due to pain on lower left sort of to the back near ribs. This sort of has gone away, but even today if I eat too fast or maybe too much I will get the pain back. It seems to be getting better, but it is usually some sort of gas pain my PA says. If it continues much longer I will ask to speak to the doctor, but for now am living with it. At first I did not know if I could live with it, but it got better.
  13. Some sugar free things will cause my sugar addition to rear its ugly head some don't. Aspartame is good for getting rid of ants as it paralyzes them after the get into it they go back to the next and spread it around and all the ants get paralyzed. I had an ant issue and my landlord told me to spread aspartame around and it worked, no more ants, at least in that spot. I used SF sometimes such a popsicles as there is not addiction issue for me, but the "No sugar added" fudgesicles are a problem sometimes.
  14. I still get some gas and I think it might be from eating too fast or swallowing too big of a bite. Never had a stuck but sometimes I forget to chew chew chew before I swallow.
  15. I am addicted to the scale and have put it under my bed so far that I forgot where it was and when I really wanted to weigh myself for my weekly weigh in I had to climb under the bed. That caused me to notice how much I needed to dust. It's just not fair! Best of luck and don't worry about the slight weight gain. It will be gone in a few days as soon as that gas thing goes away.
  16. No real pain with the port but mine is on the left just under my "man boop" which is getting saggier and saggier as the weight comes off. OH NO, not a boop job coming up?
  17. Positive Burp I believe. Not sure what it does but it is different than vomit. I am nearly 5 months post op and have almost no restriction after 2cc at surgery and 3 more cc's at fill. 2 and then 1. Hoping for at least 1cc in a couple of weeks. Although not much restriction I have lost about 60 pounds, go figure!
  18. I put some of my protein shake in an ice cube tray and sucked on them and chewed them like a popsicle.
  19. I have been doing the 2 pound bump for a few weeks. UP and DOWN two pounds every 2 or 3 days. As you get closer to goal weight it does get harder to lose but it will come off. Sounds like you are doing great too. keep up the good work.
  20. I am having NSV this week. I am sure my scale is broken (ha ha, for sure). The compulsive me wants to run out and buy a new one. Was visiting a friend this weekend out of town and almost ran into his bathroom and used his, but refrained as I realized it was too compulsive. Should just throw the darn thing out.
  21. My doc told me, after I asked about this, that it has never happened to one of his patients and it would probably only happen if the band was not buckled correctly at surgery. Sounds like you are doing a great job so far. had some "mashed taters" yesterday. First in 5 months, but they were good, but will not do them too often due to carbs and calories, but a treat to look forward to on occasion.
  22. Dogs are great. Cats on the other hand just stand at the food bowl look up as if to say, "OK, you had the lap band, but we want to eat, so were is the Friskies." Cats just don't seem to care! LOL!
  23. The more I lose the more I can feel the port. Could not even find it right after surgery and have lost around 60 pounds and I really run into in the shower.
  24. 10 cc band with 5 cc and I am seeing lime green. one or two more cc's and I think I will be there in the green forest.
  25. Mine just started but a friend who had a by pass one month before I had lap band has had hair loss for at least 6 months. Someone I know with a sleve has the same.
