Tiffanyk, guess we really are band buddies. Lol. I have to be there at 9:30 too. Surgery is at 11. Hope these last hours fly by, I'm ready to start my new life.

Got the go ahead from my surgeon, less than 48 hours from now, I will be on the other side!!!! SCARY!!!

Just got the call from the surgery center. The nurse is concerned about this cold that I have and also thinks that the dental work I have scheduled for tomorrow may hinder the surgery as well. Waiting to hear from the medical staff at the doctors office to see what he says b

Thanks for the suggestions, I tried the muscle milk ones and don't think I want to drink those. I have to find some by Friday!!

I don't want to spend a ton on them, and I've never liked any of them, can't get past that powdery feel to them. Anyone know one that is similar to slim fast, I have been able to tolerate those.

Since December is almost over, I'm just wondering how many of us are left to get banded this month? Mine is Friday!

Trisket, I noticed that we have the same dr. I'm scheduled for surgery on Friday, any advice?! Also, are u running the color run in 2013? I'm planning to do it!

Thanks, I'm SO incredibly nervous. I'd actually talked myself out of surgery last night! But I really feel like its the best thing for me. Making my list now, so I can go shop on Wednesday. I'm actually having dental work on Thursday, so I have a lot to get accomplished in a little time. Lol

My surgery is scheduled for the 28th. I'm sure this has probably been posted before, but I'd appreciate if you guys could help. What are the things you absolutely had to have (and why) post op? Thanks for ANY input

Just wanted to say no! The 28th is my surgery day as well, but no pre-op diet. I'm def very nervous, but I kind if feel like I have no other choice. Good luck to you guys!!

So, it's been a while since I originally posted on this page, I've changed my mind and back again about having surgery. The thought of complications scared me SO bad. But I've finally scheduled my surgery for Friday the 28th. I'm still nervous, but feel like I have no other way. I actually lose weight pretty fast, that's never been a problem, but I can never maintain it. Praying that this band will give the the little extra I need to keep the weight off. Looking forward to learning about you guys as we continue on this journey together!

Pre-op testing done, scheduled to meet with surgeon on Monday. But.....now I'm having doubts. I keep coming across these studies done on the complication rate of lap band. I'm more confused than ever

I'm new to this site, but I guess I will be joining you all getting banded in December. Going for my pre-op testing today. Then I have to schedule to meet with surgeon. Then we will schedule surgery day! I'm excited, overwhelmed and relieved. Can't believe this is happening.
