  1. Thank you everyone. Im now 3 days post op, and still having gas pain, and feeling generally out of it.....thank you all so much, your positive energy keeps me going.

  5. Hello all.. I was banded on Monday, recovery has had it's ups and downs. Im wondering what the mental/emotional recovery was for everyone. Does it ever freak you out knowing there is a foreign object in your body? I've had this thought alot...Im wondering if it's just me. How do heal your spirit? Not just your body?
  6. How does a first fill feel? Do you vomit alot?

  9. I can't stand this gas! I certainly feel like Im filling up with air also! I just got off the phone with my doctor, they said it's normal, and walk more, but I walk my dog all day, and still pain!

  11. When you drink, do you feel like you are pushing down air? I had my surgery Monday..and I still have so much gas!
  12. Im having bad gas pain too! It's all in my chest, and it's so painful...I don't understand people who say they feel fine after 1 or 2 days...is there something wrong with me?!

  14. I was banded on Monday as well. I cried in the OR too! Im at home now, I have a ton of pain in my chest, supposedly from gas....ugh. Im glad you are home!

  19. I had my surgery on Monday, and Im still feeling very tight in my chest, and when I drink liquids, I feel like there is a ton of air being pushed down, and I feel like I need to burb, but I can't. Im really freaked out by this...is it normal??..

  22. I made it out of surgery at 11 am...Im having chest pain, doped up, but Im doing well!

Im having my surgery 6 am Monday, and my Mother just informed me that she won't be offering me any kind of support whatsoever because she disagrees with the surgery because she thinks it's too risky, and that I could lose weight on my own. Her words were so hurtful, and this happening one week after my boyfriend broke up with me, and surgery in less than 48 hours is just so painful and overwhelming
