I started on the 2nd week after surgery I went back to work as a floor nurse in1week I found it helped me heal quickly. I had my surgery January 18.down 35 pounds feeling great.

I LOVE SHRIMP ANYWAY ITS COOKED AND DESSERT PEANUT BUTTER DOESN'T MATTER HOW IT JUST HAS TO BE THE MAIN INGREDIENT.

Aufan, Its up to u who u want to tell I personally didnt tell any one except my sisters and 3very close friends at work I didnt want to hear their horror stories and unwanted advice about my life.so I was banded on the 17th of this month and because the schedule was all ready out I told my Supra I had to have emergency surgery and I didnt tell her what it was for and for those who called to be noisy I told them my gall bladder had to be removed. So dont feel guilty its your life your BIZZNESS. it was the best decision for me and when u get banded im sure u will agree.Congrats to u.

Well I had surgery yesterday all seemed to have went well until I took my meds oh my god I had the dry heves and I felt like I was dieing so in fear of dehydration they keep me over nite. On IV fluids the nurse called my Dr and he prescribed a suppository. I all so had a hernia the size of a baseball Im home now doing much better but for a while I was thinking what the hell had I done to my self? All so due to one nurse working last nite I had to get my self my Iv and my spd's to the bathroom so no gas pain at all..yeaa me

Thank u for that. But the way I feel, Im so tired of being overweight if I drink smothies for the rest of my life ill be ok I have. Lost 25 pounds in 2 weeks I can tie my shoes with out holding my breath it feels so good to.Me I am a little comfortable even with that small amout of Weight loss I cant wait to see more results I got energy now what a small victory. And I started working out again.yea meeee!!

Ready set go...in 26 hrs I Will receive my Band Im going shopping today for things I will need.I woke up this morning thinking about life and food and when I was younger how food really didnt matter much and the older and socially active I became food. Became more relevant. Im not scared just more worried about my social life and family. I will still have to cook for my family but I know I wont beable to eat. Like im use to and u know something im ok with that.

@saltlife Dr Jessie,she only works with the instrument called the butterfly?? U only have 1incision? Or do u have 4to5? Im asking because I started with her and ended up with DrA. her office took to long to move forward with me and that was one of the reasons I originally choose her.

The Gastric Plication does help with WEIGHT LOSS. weight loss can be achievable with it alone,or combined with the Band.Plication is a restriction operation , its the same as the Sleeve except the doctor doesnt cut the stomach away they just fold it in like the shape of a banana, I was up all nite reading about this remarkable tool. and it can be reversed just like the band and with the band there is less chance of it slipping and less fills as well. Insurance won't pay for it because theres not enough history behind it. still under investigation so with that being said it does not have FDA Approved.which means no Insurance will cover it .I wish insurance would cover it because it would be an extra incentive. All WLS will not be magic. It will take work mentally as well as physically. But can work.And anyone can strech their stomach out with over eating. With the sleeve and gastric bypass&Plication you can all so over eat with the band and slip so there is no confusion if there'something you want to know Investigate it for your self just read up on it.my decision has allways been the band with Gastric Plication but BcBs Feds says no.They will only cover the band.

I see. But my insurance covers everything but that. so my question is did u get it with your insurance or were u self pay????.

@TB, thats the surgery I wanted so bad!! but my insurance says its to new and not approved. My Doctor says it makes perfect sense .He said there would be less slips and fills if at all. He said he hasnt been trained on the procedure but he likes it.are u private pay????

Hi, I have BCBS FEDERAL.. u have to see a Psychologist JUST ONCE. THEN A DIETITIAN JUST ONCE. U NEED TO HAVE BEEN ON A DOCTORS DIET LAST YR OR THEY WILL MAKE U DO 3 MONTHS SUPERVISION DIET WITH A DOCTOR BEFORE YOUR APPROVAL. A LETTER OF CLEARANCE FROM YOUR PCP AND 2yrs. DOCUMENTS OF YOUR WEIGHT, BMI OVER 40, U CAN GET THIS FROM ANY DOCTORS OFFICE U WENT TO--EVEN A DOCTORS WALK IN CLINIC,,, OR THE EMERGENCY ROOM,, ANY WHERE THE DOCUMENTED YOUR WEIGHT I'M 5'5 229 I barely made it. but it only took 2 days to get approval once the doctors office sent it in to BCBS . THEIR REALLY FAST I HAVE 3 COWORKERS THAT TOLD ME IT ONLY TOOK DAYS FOR APPROVAL. FOR THEM AS WELL.

Yes I had the same thing happen to me my PCP lost my records and says he moved and left all records at old location. but when I showed up there was no longer a business there. I had to show BMI of 40 diet attempt in the last yr and nutritionist eval and psych eval and a clearance from PCP after 2nd day I was approved. BCBS FEDERAL OF FLORIDA so if your weight yo- yoed u should be fine.also it can be any doctor they're just looking for something with your weight charted.I even used a doctors walk in clinic to show proof.
