Thanks- I got ahold of them today- May 7th is my date. My new boss was SOOOOO good about it when I went to talk to her about it- She kept saying whatever I need just let her know and take whatever time off I need. I think I'm going to like working for her!!

I have been trying since October to get my insurance approval. It finally came today- Great news- well maybe. I start a new job soon- it's at the same place, but in a whole new area with a new supervisor. She has already approved my vacation in June from my previous job- now the kicker is that my referral expires on July 2nd because they put this in so long ago. It would be best if I could do this in the next three weeks. How soon can this happen? I tried to call today, but just got voicemail- wondering if anyone has any idea how fast this caan happen.

It sounds like this is what I will be having too, so I am interested in this answer too

I have Tricare Prime also and have just finished all the steps today and now starts the waiting process to see if I am approved. What were their reasons for reversing the decision? I agree I think I would sue them- you have the approval letter and then they change their mind 5 months after the procedure.

I live in Sumter South Carolina and am looking to be banded late December to early January.

It was really nothing- I was alseep really fast- but I just got around to reading the report it says i have Gastritis and a hiatus hernia- what does this mean for my surgery?

I don't take anything daily, but have to take Relpax for migraines and Valtrex for cold sores- how does taking medicine work without getting stuck? I surely don't want to chew either of them up!!

Why? What's going on? I go for my endoscopic on Monday and hopefully my psych eval next week too-just got the referral for that yesterday but that was my pcps problem not tri care. What region are you in?

How long until I am feeling OK to get around again- I am trying to make a eye appointment for later that afternoon. My appointment is at 9- will I be ready by 2?

I've never had one before- please let me know what to expect.

I went today and besides the psych eval I can do everything in one appointment (blood workup and endoscopy) he said we can do that the week before the surgery. So now I go to the psych eval and wait for the approval,

I'm sorry your friend made you feel like that I am only telling a select few people for just that reason- I don't need people to be judgmental of me- I am going to tell one friend (the only friend I'm going to tell) tomorrow who is a fitness buff- she used to be bigger than me and is now skinny and in shape- but spends her whole life at the gym. I'm not sure how she will take it- but she knows how much I have struggled with this and I hope she will be supportive. I hate to say this,but if I tell someone and they are judgmental towards me about this I will have to distance myself from them- I do not need the negativism. I will have to tell my boss and HR manager because I work at a federal prison and will not be able to respond to body alarms and inmate fights for a couple weeks so there will be some people at work who will need to know- but not many.

The ones that can be done there- can they all be done in one day? I'm trying to do this with as little time off work as possible- they are good about it, letting me work extra hours so i can get off in time to get to my appointments without having to take sick time- I work an hour away from home though and when I work extra or leave early i can't ride the shuttle- and of course my doctor is an hour the other way- so it takes me 2 1/2 hours to drive there from work.

I'm going tomorrow for my consulltation- what should I expect?If it is approved (Everything points to it it will) What do my next couple weeks look like?

I am only telling a select few people that I am dong this because I don't want people to be judgmental like this. I have told my husband (obviously) and besides that my mother and best friend. I'll have to tell my boss and my HR director to approve the time off since I'm still a probationary employee- but other than that I really don't pan on telling anyone including my sister and brother until it's over and done.

I have Tri Care Prime South and i understand there is no 6 month requirement- just a letter from your doctor you have been trying for over 6 months.

Thanks- I'm not worried about the approval- I have 2 comorbidities and have been told that with that you only have to be 30 BMI in order to be approved by Tri Care, and have been told as soon as the approval comes in things move pretty quickly. Little nervous- but excited- nothing else has worked for me- O'm really hoping this does!!

How long after approval did you do the surgery? How much do they cover?

Hi, I am Jenna from south Carolina. I have my consultation on the 24th. I have heard that Tri Care is pretty quick about approving- Anyone have any experience with Tri care? Also looking for advice as to what to expect in the next couple months.
