It sounds like your port...mine only hurts when i exercise alot..mine is higher than waist line so i never really feel it unless i look for it.

I initially lost 30 lbs very fast..since it has stalled im at about 40 to 45lbs. I was taking biotin 5000..i just upped it to 10,000. I cant imagine six months at this rate. I would say ive lost atleast 20% already....devasted.

Using olive oil..eating or in your hair? B50...I have to look for it. Ty.

Sh*tless. The massive amounts of hair leaving my head daily has sent me into a major depression. I now can see my scalp in the front and the part has widened. I could fill a sandwich bag with hair daily. Im heartbroken and this side effect has taken over my life. Constant worry. Banded 10.23.12. Noticeable loss since middle of December. Crazy loss starting at about 8 weeks. Im using Nioxin taking Biotin since before surgery. Im taking iron..i am low in ferritin. I take prenatal vitamins. My scalp feels funny and tingly and disconnected from my body. Im freaking out. I told the nurse and showed her by running my fingers and retrieving a fistful..she said thats odd with lapband. The Dr. told me I wont go bald and that it will come back. (He suggested Rogaine.) However my fear is it wont. My eyebrows half fell out about two years ago and i have no hair on my forearms that never grew back after i waxed them once. I know Ive posted this before and Im hoping to hear from someone who went through this and recovered. I know its only hair and maybe I sound shallow...but its unreal that i could lose so much everyday. Help

I've been trying to keep this in perspective but the amount of hair that left my head today is alarming!!! Im frightened and in tears. I had surgery Oct 23rd. This is freaking me out. I get handfuls coming out. Im over concerned now because I have eyebrow alopecia and waxed my arms years ago and the hair never grew back. Im so scared im going to lose my hair and its not gonna come back. Please share some encouraging words.

How does alcohol relax the band? I've noticed this but it must constrict the tissue around the band..interesting.

Hairloss is a direct result of the anesthetic. Im experiencing it after 8 weeks. I've been shedding a tremendous amount. Its scary. I've been taking biotin..multis protein etc. All my research says to sit tight and let it run its course. Its very consuming. :/

The office called said my band is wide open now and they think something fibrous was stuck and cleared..they want me to get a fill going in 3 weeks. Its true though I can eat now..the bad part is even with that small unfill the hunger has returned..i had no hunger before...let the will power kick in!

I just had alot of foam and mucous. It cleared the next day. My first fill was a big one 4cc. Second was 1cc. I had a .5cc unfill. Now I can eat better but the hunger came back. Darnit for that part. I was never hungry with the 5cc. Im going to put it back in 3 weeks, try again.

Its nothing! Its like 3 seconds..no pain..dont sweat it!!

By the way barium equals diarrhea..did not know this would happen!

Went in today ..doc gave me a .5cc unfill..and sent me for the upper g.i..no slip or erosion..feel so much better!!

I just had an unfill and barium swallow today...i was at 5cc now to 4.5...huge difference! Feel so much better!

He took out .5 then sent me for a barium swallow. My doctor is awesome, so understanding..after the unfill the barium liquid sailed through. No slip, no erosion and liquids going down fine. I feel so much better! He wants me back in one month to put back the .5 Im so happy I went in and got checked out!

Going in for an unfill...never thought I would say that.

Its very hard to reprogram. I think 5cc is to much for me and calling tmrrw to see about a small unfill.

Anybody too tight @5cc? Having issues! All this throwing up cannot be good...im very sore and swollen today..:/

I doubt this is normal..so like most Im tight in the morning..water goes down a bit hard or sits a bit before it clears..i drink something hot it gets better...so now after 2nd fill it seems I get stuck real easy..even with small bites and going slow...i have been bringing back up some and then I can resume eating..but its so much easier to eat after that initial purge...i seem to be developing a habit of this..so am I too tight? Did my band slip? Any advice appreciated...thx!
