  1. Regular...hmmm...as in a planned routine....hmmm...of cardiac exercise. I really must start doing that...really. :ermm I am trying to think of a surefire way to motivate myself. I almost signed up for an exercise class at the college -- but I don't really want to exercise around a lot of 20 somethings -- I would be looking like a serious geezer. I MUST do something soon! <Insert kick in the pants here.>
  2. Lisa, you crack me up! No! Not that kind of crack!
  3. Great pics, Teresa. That sounds like so much fun. AND you do look great!
  4. Boy, someone keeps digging up this thread! I am moving all my furniture out of my living room today so we can paint and put in a wood floor. That will be my exercise for the next week. Sigh.... I will be very happy when it is done.
  5. Thanks for all the pics! And the guessing game. I've been waiting for the answer......my first guess is that all the thongs came from Leatha. I think she's a wild woman under that sweet smile.
  6. You do look terribly cute in that hat! My mom took one of mine with her and rolled up the brim like that. Keep those pictures coming!
  7. Oh boy -- I remember that part -- all night long! :Bunny My thoughts are with you as you start the next phase of your journey.
  8. What a touching post, Leatha. You are such a shining example of what the band is all about.
  9. Everyone is doing so well! You'd think it was springtime with babies and all the sunshine around here. Congratulations to all! I am down 2 more this week. Hope it stays gone. I have 3 birthday dinners and Thanksgiving in 2 weeks time. I'm worried about that pumpkin pie, too --it's slippery stuff. As long as I keep making hats, I think I'll do all right.
  10. You really are looking great, Lisa. You should be very proud of how well you are doing. Glad you had fun and a good boost to your self esteem. Good luck getting back on the band wagon.

Mine was uncomfortable for a month after surgery, but I don't even notice it now. Some people seem to have a bit of trouble with it, but I rarely even think about it.
  12. I dealt with depression and mood swings quite a bit before surgery and for about 4 months after surgery. It seems to have gone away the last couple months. I feel better than I have in years. I'm hoping this is a permanent change. I hope your experience will be the same.
  13. Glad to hear everything went well. Keep up the good work.
  14. That sounds like perfect restriction, Leatha. Congrats!
  15. You can order Unjury protein at www.unjury.com. I got a sugarfree chai, but it has 25 grams of carbs! I would like to find a low carb chai, too.
  16. You are in good hands with LapSF. They are great lap surgeons. Get lots of feedback on follow-up care from these online support groups. Self-pay has been a burden, but it is worth every single penny! I am so glad I made the leap. Being close to your doctor will really make it easier in the long run. Congratulations on your surgery date.
  17. Twenty one pounds without a band! You'll be racing right up there with Greg once you are on the other side! Hold steady.
  18. Glad your fill went so well and the loss is going so well. :Bunny
  19. Congratulations, Babs! I can hear the euphoria in you post. The band has given me a major attitude adjusment -- a hugely positive one! :Bunny
  20. That's great, Vera! A little kinky is all right if you can still get your fill. I have 2 hats made and working on a third. I'll send you a picture so you can choose within the next couple days. My son borrowed my digital camera, so I'll have to wait until he brings it back.
  21. My husband walked me and the dog this morning. 45 minutes. It's a beautiful sunny day. I hope your port feels better soon, Penni. :cry
  22. Ummmm....I called around and got rates at all the gyms and took a tour of one. So....I'm planning to exercise. *Hangs head* You are such a good role model, Betty. I will hop on that bike first thing tomorrow. Shipped a box to you today -- oh, yeah -- weight lifting! Should arrive within a week. USPS I will make a big effort to exercise tomorrow. :Bunny
  23. I like to snack on beef jerky or cashews. I should stay away from the cashews, though. I have cheese fairly often. I've started eating some crackers, too, but try not to do that often. Dry cereal is okay, especially the high protein kind.
  24. I hear ya on the black yarn, Teresa. I need to go get stronger reading glasses and a better light. Getting old sucks! The fuzzies don't help, either, but they are sure fun.
  25. I'll try one for you Vera. If it turns out okay, I'll send it to you. No charge. This is therapy. What style and what color? Solid or tweedy? I told hubby I want to go get more yarn right now. :Bunny He said no, 'cause I have clothes all over our bed. It will take me another couple hours to clean it up and pack up a few for Betty. Besides, I don't want Betty running around baggy or nekkid.
