I was 323 last August when I decided to have Lap Band. I am currently 205, and have 30lbs to go before I reach my goal! So happy to have been so successful! -
My wife and I were banded November 6th. I am down 117lbs, in the same time, my wife has lost 65lbs. She has also plateaued, and is getting frustrated given how much I have lost, but she is staying positive and working out more than ever. She had some other medical issues going on the past few months which may have contributed to her not losing any weight all summer.

Hi all, My wife and I are getting banded November 6th! We are both very excited to be starting this journey together! We know quite a few people who have been banded, but this site seems like a great alternative for asking questions and talking about progress. Haven't checked in in quite some time, I have lost 97lbs, and my wife has lost 53! Here are some before and after pics: June 2011 vs June 2013, I was not at my heaviest at this time but close to it. This is a recent before & after picture of me. The left side was June of 2011, I was around 315lbs. In July 2012 I reached my heaviest weight: I was 25 years old and 323lbs...it was then that I realized I needed to make a change. I was banded on November 6, 2012, and currently weigh 226lbs! I have lost 97s lbs!! -

Thank you everyone for your positive responses! I am not as your as the picture makes me look...I am 26. My wife and I both bad the surgery to become healthier, when our daughter was born in December 2011, it was a wake up call that we both needed to make changes to ensure we're always around for her :1) -

I was banded just about 4 months ago on 11/6/12. I have lost 66lbs so far I did this before and after picture a few weeks ago when I hit the 60lbs lost mark. The before picture was from Spetember 2011, and was not at my heaviest weight. I am looking forward to more progress! -
Wife and I were just banded on Tuesday 11/6. I went first, my wife went immediately after. We are still sore and very uncomfortable. I was 320 when we went for our consult, and with changing my eating habits and a 1 week pre-op diet I was 299 on surgery day. Really looking forward to continued progress!

Just a little update--3.5 months since our surgeries...I am down over 60lbs, and my wife 35lbs! We are both feeling great!

Had my first adjustment today...7 weeks post-op I am down 40lbs! I am feeling great, and everyone has noticed a difference!

Officially banded! Wife and I were banded Tuesday morning. I went first, she followed immediately after! We stayed over night, and came home yesterday afternoon. Still sore, and uncomfortable from the gas, but doing well overall. How long did the gas pain generally last after the surgery??
