  1. I have an appt w/ my dr on the 29th. It's certainly up to me to mind my portions & in between Snacks. I shouldn't actually "feel" the restriction as its too late at that point. @Carolinagirl - you are inspiring. I'm a bit envious, too. How do you do it?
  2. I'm ~6 months post op and haven't had a fill in 2 months but am feeling less restriction lately. I've been eating more calories, but generally ~1 to 1 1/4 cup portions. Thoughts? Thx!
  3. Be proud! You look great!!
  4. Good for you! i was on/off the wagon but was able to lose 7 lbs during the holidays! Slow & steady w/ exercise and eating right. Positive at utile absolutely has a lot to do with it!!
  5. I find them at Stop & shop in the organic freezer section. You can also buy them online. If you subscribe to "Hungry Girl" daily emails, there are good deals / coupons.
  6. The vitatop family of treats are good. Nothing fake, lots of fiber and 100 calories or under. Good stuff!
  7. Hang in there Wozzicat! By reaching out, you clearly are holding yourself accountable! Good for you!! Personally, I started drinking Protein shakes / protein Soup ahead of my pre-op for two meals a day so it wouldn't be such a shock when I switched to all liquids. Honk raises a good point re: start eating like a Bandster... Certainly helpful as its something you have to 1) get used to (I'm guessing it's. different than the way you eat now) and 2) practice! This doesn't come with a magic cookbook! I wish you the best!
  8. Sorry you're in Bandster hell. It'll get better. Maybe I'm not understanding your question... Is it that it is adding more calories to eat or subtracting them so you have less? If the latter, I've never experienced that. If the former, see below. On the days that you work out, you can do one of two things, 1). not log it so you don't get confused with calories or 2). Manually review your calories to ignore the calories burned, i.e. you know your daily target, just subtract your calories eaten from that. Your ending calories should always be = or > calories burned.
  9. I am so impressed with your courage and optimism! You've worked so hard and deserve to feel as fabulous as you look! You're in inspiration and i hope you're still out here on LBT when I'm ready to do the same :-)
  10. How exciting! I wish you all the best! I'll repeat what many others have said - you're an inspiration!!! What a great Christmas present to yourself!!
  11. Hi all. Add me, too if you want, terwen99.
  12. Congratulations!! You look amazing!!
  13. Happy Thanksgiving everyone! Enjoy those carbs!! Get some exercise, too. My Family & I are doing a fitness walk called "the Turkey Trot"! Should be fun. Be well.
  14. Any thoughts for low carb mushies? I've had cottage cheese, egg salad but not sure what else.
  15. 112 G protein. Not bad for the day of a fill!
  16. I work for an asset mgmt firm running the shareholder servicing team. We manage our company Pension & 401k & manage $ for others, including mutual funds. My team services the mutual fund shareholders. Been w/ my company my whole career! Have had many different roles, though. CG - I was a compliance officer for 5 yrs before I took this job (for the same firm). Only left because I was asked to take the job I have currently.
  17. I'm getting my 3rd fill tomorrow so liquids for 2 days. Any thought in the low carb (tomorrow) vs high carb (Tues) options? I feel like I'm a bit limited.
  18. High carb day... Spin class followed by Turkey / hummus / cucumber on a whole wheat everything bagel! Couldn't eat that much of it but Delish!!
  19. Can't seem to get below 55 carbs on the low carb day. Today's stats are: 1183 Calories 55 g carbs 55 g fat 126 G protein. All good stuff though!
  20. Two days in and I'm down ~5lbs! Interesting. Could be the removal of Halloween candy & limiting of wine that's helping also :-)
  21. I think I messed up by having carbs at dinner. Oops! I only had 90 carbs today for my high day. Was so busy at work I didn't have time to eat everything in my lunch bag. There is always tomorrow!
  22. Is it total carbs - dietary Fiber or just total carbs?
