  6. What is really sad to me is that people feel they r obligated to tell others about a decision they made for themselves I bet no one went to the individuals of concern asking thier opions whether or not they should hve the surgery or which surgery they should have. Really sad because most of the people u are concerned about telling probley thought when u were heavy that u should do something about your weight whether they said it or thought it we all know the sterotypes people hve about overweight people no matter how smart or well you do your job. So now you hve become proactive in prolonging your life, u feel you hve to explain explain explain. I just don't get it. My plan has always been to say I am on a supervised medical eating and exercise plan that is working for me. End of story. If they cannot respect that, they probley will be negative if you gave them more details.
  7. I am 6 days post op my surgery was on 10/29 i received a lot of fluids in the hospital, I hve some swelling and water retention in my legs. I feel blotted all the time. My doc said it will take time I will see him next week, he may give me a water pill to get rid of some water. Anyone experience this. With that being said I have not lost any weight I have gained weight on clear liquids. Today I just started protein drinks:(

  17. Boston just would like to share I am amazed myself I had no stress at all I don't know if I mentioned I have a tendency to clot, once that issue was resolved it was all good. This has been my approach; the core of who I am stayed on the OR the new person went to recovery. All things r new in this new world of my relationship of eating, therefore I not only changed my perspective I am open to ALL things being new and different. For this I praise God for because now I step into a new demintion of me.
  18. Guys this is by far the painless experience I hve ever had granted still on meds all in all good. For those of you that pray ask god for a smooth recovery and from the moment you ask every day u.til your sugery say thank you, for a smooth recovery. This is why my surgery went well, plus I hve a tendency to clot. All I can say is god is sooooo good. Hope to go home tomorrow.

God bless all of us, this is best time of our lives, not many people in our situation will hve this opportunity not because they dont hve insurance or money to pay, but because they are not aware of the possibilities embrace the change. You will hve to do the work so what it was VERY hard work to be fat. Lol
