Well it's been a month since I was banded and everything went very well. Iam down 18 lbs. Dr Aceves was wonderful as was his staff. I was seen by my family dr 2 weeks post op and I have had no complications. Dr Thomas Lee of Mount Laurel NJ will be doing my fills, I live in PA and it takes about 2 hours to get there, so I am a happy camper and I can't wait to start shopping for new clothing!!

I booked my surgery with Dr Alberto Aceves for January 7, 2013. My best friend had him and loved him. I am so excited that Jan seems like an eternity away. Anybody else have dr Aceves? I would love to hear about your experiment. Thanks.

Had mine done in Mexico by Dr Alberto Aceives. Total cost was 6500.00 which incl 2 night stay in a hospital, not a clinic. Highly recommend him. Him and his assist and the staff were very caring. I was banded on the 7th of Jan.

Hi. You will have people who will not be supportive. I am 5'5'' and weighed 207 and I was banded Jan 7. down 18 lbs so far and I have no regrets about doing the band. My parents were not supportive at all cause I went to Mexico, which I would do all over again, but I had my husband's support and support of good friends so that was all I needed. Take it with a grain of salt and do it for you!!! -

I was banded on Jan 7th and I am down 18 lbs. Just started eating regular food yesterday. I don't think I can look at soup for a while. -
Just had mine done by dr Alberto Aceves on the 7th in Mexicali,6500.00 stayed at the hospital for two nights and I had the best care. I don't regret going to Mexico. Good luck

Hi, I am going with Dr Alberto Aceves. My best friend had him and loved him. You stay at a hospital for 2 days they do a barium swallow to check for placement of your band and the cost is 6500.00 which incl all pre op,post op, surgeon fees, everything, medications, driver to pick u up at San Diego airport and drive you to Mexicali which is 1 blk over the us border. Good luck with your decision. -

My BMI is 34 and I have no comobidities and I have decided to go to Mexico. My surgery date is Jan 7th. Dr Alberto Aceves is doing my surgery. The cost is 6500.00 includes everything except air to San Diego. Good Luck. -

Ins really sucks. My BMI is only 33.3 so I am going to Mexico to have my lap band done. $6500.00 includes everything except airfare to San Diego. Don't have a date yet but I can't wait.
