Hi Everyone, I got sleeved on 3/19 and have been progressing well. Today I started with a "burning" feeling beneath my left incision. I also have pain in m back on the left side. Has anyone else had a similar reaction? Thanks!! Patti

I am able to sleep on either side for about 2 days now. Sleeved 3/19. To all of you afraid to get on the scale just do it! I have lost about 2 lbs a day since surgery! It helps to motivate and energize to see the number coming down even when you still feel yucky.

I have also felt liquids travel down my stomach. At first I thought WHOA but nothing bad happened so ok!!

Hey Slim Jim glad to see you are feeling better! I havent had a bm yet either but not really concerned. I am still on clear liquids. As for the BM nothing in means nothing out!

I was also sleeved on 3-19-13. The first day post op I was thinking, what have I done? I think the buildup of gas was affecting my brain!! LOL!! I feel really good today, still have a little gas pain but nothing like day 1 and 2. I am good with getting my fluids and protein in. I drink the bariwise fruit drinks from bariatric choice. They have 15 grams of protein and are clear liquids. I put an envelope in my blender bottle, add ice, water and blend. It actually tastes good!! I still walk at a snails pace but, I am walking!!

Will pray for you SlimJim! I had to be put on oxygen overnight as my level dropped into the 80s. Nurses here said it happens to most sleevers.

I had my surgery as well. So far some abdominal pain controlled with the pca pump. Only complaint is a very dry mouth. Walked 3 laps around the unit. Leak test tomorrow then hopefully home!

I have to be at the hospital at 5 am. I am the first one. I still need to pack. I doubt I will even sleep tonight! I am nervous and yet so excited! I told the OR scheduler when she called today that I was really excited and she said no one ever said that to her before. Good luck to everyone and God Bless!

I am scheduled for the 19th as well. Conflicting thoughts today but I know it is just nerves. Just really looking forward to Wednesday when it is all over and I am back home.

Hi! I am Patti from PA and my date is March 19! I am on clear liquids drinks, bar snacks and a small protein dinner. The liquid proteins are gagging! So far isopure seems to have the least aftertaste. Has anyone else found anything good?

Hi Everyone! My surgery date is 3-19 and I am so excited!! I just got diagnosed with h. pylori and am on enough antibiotics to make me sterile!! Has anyone else been diagnosed with this? Patti
