  1. I haven't been on here for a while! but for the past few days i've been getting stuck quite a bit, mainly when I've been eating bread, so I'm definitely going off that! But my main problem is the pain of getting stuck, before when I used to get stuck it wasn't so much painful as just uncomfortable, but now it hurts so much when it happens, and i'm not sure if it's because i've recently been sick with a chest cold and maybe it's still a bit sore or something? But it's incredibly painful! Has anyone had this before? Thanks

    Help :/

I've been banded about 6 months now, and a couple of days ago I got this weird pain around my port, it eventually went away but now it's come back, I've had it for about 2 hours now, it's kind of hard to explain, it's almost like a throbbing pain, it's no excruciating but it's not very comfortable either! Has anyone had this pain before? If it doesn't stop soon I'm ready to call my doctor :/

    Middle of the Back Pain

I had quite a bit of back pain about 2 months after my surgery, turns out it was gall stones, not saying this is whAt you have but if pain persists maybe go have it checked??

    Meal plan!

Hi everyone, I was just wondering if anyone is able to supply me with a weekly meal plan that has really helped them loose weight? I understand that everyone is different, and it's a slow process, but my 21st birthday is coming up in about 2 months and I'm eager to loose as much as I can before then! My specific process has been delayed quite a bit due to having to have my gallbladder out (I only had my first fill two weeks ago, 6 months after I was banded!) So if anyone can help me out i'd be much obliged Thanks so much!

  6. So this only started happening today but I have a pain sort of across my chest, it flares up a bit when i chew and swallow food, i'm not sure if it's band related because I haven't had anything put into it yet, and it could be because I went out last night but just wanted to see if anyone else had this problem??
  7. I'm not too sure what's going on at the moment, it's been a few hours and the pain feels like it's now coming from my back, it's the strangest thing, it's not a horrible intense pain it's just a little discomfort really, but i'll see what it's like tomorrow and over the next few days, thanks

  9. Hello everyone, I'm currently in hospital about 5 hours post op from having my gall bladder removed, not feeling too bad, a little sore but overall quite well. I was just wondering how people went with recovery from gall bladder removal? Did you find it easier/ to recover from than the lapband? I'm really hoping to feel back to normal by Christmas. Happy Christmas to all you Lapbanders !

    tomorrow is my day!

It is completely normal of course! I was a nervous wreck before going for my surgery, but you should know how very slim the chances of something going wrong are! Also it will be all over before you know it, one second you're having the iv put it and the next second you're waking up in recovery, good luck, you'll do great!

    Post Gall bladder removal

Yeah it is seeming a lot easier to recover from than lapband, I have no shoulder tip pain (touch wood) thank god, as last time I had it very badly. Plus I only just got given a second round of painkillers 7 hours after my first lot and I probably didn't even need this second lot! Looking forward to eating breakfast tomorrow without worrying about the pain, even if it is hospital food!

    Gall Stone!!

Hey everyone, I write this in a very angry state at the moment ! I have just spent 24 hours in hospital after the worst pain I've ever felt in my back and just under my boobs. I had an ultrasound which revealed a gall stone! Although I've now been pain free for a while I am still needing my gall bladder removed on the 17th of December. As you can imagine I'm very frustrated after having only recovered from lapband a few weeks ago!!! The surgeon told me gall stones can occur from rapid weight loss, has anyone else experienced this before? Not a happy camper!!!

    Gall Stone!!

Thanks everyone, I'm okay at the moment, haven't really felt any pain for a couple of days so I'm strictly sticking to a low fat diet which should keep the pain at bay until my surgery and hopefully will help me loose a bit more weight seeing as I can't have anything put into my band before my operation, it's basically like having the optifast diet all over again but with a few less restrictions, but I'm happy to do it if it means i won't experience that horrible pain again!

    Help :(

Hey everyone, so I'm feeling pretty stupid this morning, I went out drinking last night, didn't have a huge amount, never drank if I started to feel sick so I thought I was completely fine but I woke up this morning and felt really sick, tried to keep it down for ages until i eventually couldn't hold back nd I threw up it was just once but seeing as my op wasn't very long ago I'm worieworries, but my stomach feels fine, what should I do?

    Help :(

Thanks everyone, i'm feeling fine at the moment, the doctor isn't open over the weekend so i can't call anyway, but if I do feel like something's wrong I won't hesitate to call someone. Yes will definitely limit my alcohol intake, I was planning on it anyway, only to drink occasionally
  17. Hi everyone! I'm now 23 days post op, feeling really good about it all. I've lost a total of 14 kilos since the 2 weeks before my operation and just wanted to share that I spent a good hour in my closet today trying on old clothes, or clothes which used to be tight on me, and now they all fit really well and I'm excited to plan outfits to wear out of the house This is absolutely the best decision I've ever made and I'm not even a month into my journey! Yay!

Yep it's so much fun! Can't wait til I'm even smaller, I've got some size 12 (australian) jeans which are my goal pants, once I fit into them I will be so happy!
