  9. I have crossed over!! I'm officially 7 hours post op lap band and feel great emotionally. Physically no real pain but soreness from the gas trapping. However I haven't taken any pain meds other that what they gave me in surgery. I started off 240 and while fighting with my insurance over a year I have lost quite a bit. My Check in weight today was 195. I still got banded. I earned this dam thing. All the nurses kept saying they didn't understand because I'm pretty ok weight wise. My response was tell my knees and organs that lol my choice and I feel so good. The worst part was my sister's crazy driving on the way back home. Hahaha
  10. Well starfish all I have to say is holy you know what! I'm bloated and sore as all get out but I haven't had to touchy pain meds at all. I'm not sure if pain meds help the air build up on other words trapped gas as they say. I'm moving around talking and laughing. Anesthesia leaves me quick so I'm hype up wide awake. I wake up out of surgery that way lol. I feel good. I'm so full of joy and accomplishment. I'm ready to live.
  11. On my way to get banded thank God. It took a year fighting with my insurance and now, my day has come!! I won. I won I won!!!! Whoa!!!!!!! Starting weight 240 a year later I'm down to 198 but I'm still getting my band I worked hard for this day. It's mine and nothing anyone in my life can say to make me turn back! In a few hours I will join this beautiful family.
  12. Congrats to everyone. Bless everyone during their surgery this week. We can do this
  13. 10-22-13 come to mama! Tomorrow is the first day of my new life. I'm ready!!!!!!
  14. Whoa!!!! Cardiologist says I'm clinically stable!!' I do have the start of CAD I'm sure from all the butter and deep fried foods. He states that's I can turn the clock back yay surgery is a go 10-22-13 thank god and you guys support!!
  15. Thank you for the support. You all have been so sweet
  16. Thank you so much! I'm hoping so too.
  17. That's exactly what The report said borderline abnormal. I hope it's wrong because she had me in a recline sitting position and the leads were off but I didn't want to confront her about it because everyone does EKGs different I guess. When I've done EKGs on patients my leads are placed in the model form she had them in my inner calve and inner arm where you would get a blood draw. So I guess Monday I will see what happens because my surgery is scheduled for 10-22-13. It's a tight squeeze
  18. My surgery is scheduled for this coming Tues. But my EKG came back borderline abnormal. Have this happen to anyone? I know everyone is different and it could be thousand of things that could cause this but I need some positive thoughts. I've worked so hard for this! I'm ready and it's taken me a year fighting with my insurance! I've even met my deductible and over half my responsible portion of payment. Is this a sign or what! :-(
