  1. Ok so I am 100% sure I want to lose this weight I went through the insurance process and got denied. It was devastating to me and so I started researching insurance when my jib announced we were awaiting insurances well I'm now covered only at 50% but I has saved that much. I've notice now that I'm getting my pre-op testing that I'm getting scared nervous etc. I've had 2 major surgeries in my life so it's not that. I can't pin point what it is. Change maybe? Did anyone else go through this doubt? I'm getting my esophageal gram tomorrow. ;-(
  2. That's very true. I don't plan on revealing the scar to the world anyways but yes everyone does see the fat girl in the pics and walking down the hall. I guess unless they have x-ray vision who cares. Screw the scar I'm doing it.
  3. Very good point! Ladies!!!! I wouldn't mind a battle scar. Besides I just want to feel good for myself. I don't plan on modeling or showing my stomach at all anyways
  4. Yea I've have surgeries and I can find those scars at all and they were major surgeries so I'm hoping its just the way my skin is and it will heal well b
  5. Aww battle scars! That's a way I should look at it!!
  6. I am sure I want this lap band but by surprise I am only concerned about the port scar. How do you guys really feel about the scar? Is it worth the weight loss?
  7. Thank you so much for you reply! And good luck for your April band! Do did you have to do the six mo diet? What is it like?
  8. Thank you wow I can't believe the support and the great advise going into this! I feel ready. Just waiting to get the psych eval and some other test. Yayy I'm ready
  9. Wow those words really cleared up many of my Geelong Tara. I have been struggling mainly on what people at work say or treat me. I started protein shakes (herbalife shakes) on and off and I got hit hard with negativity from the girls at work. It's very compatible where I am. I don't plan on being in anybody their lives for years so good advice from ur dad. I will carry those words with me.
  10. I'm so glad to know that everyone thinks the same. I thought not telling people was selfish but I just don't want people down my throat about everything. It's a girl at work who had it done and unfortunately people know and when she have a sweet great people are behind her back saying umm should she be eating that. So I just don't want to be the center of everyone's conversation. So I think I'm going to keep this a secret.
  11. That's what I have to keep myself. This is my life and I don't have to explain why I'm getting healthy
  12. Thank u Dee! I'm really excited now. I'm ready to stop letting food run me!
  13. Yes I think that's the road I'm going to take as well. With weight loss people just get competitive and stupid. My co worker never treats me to anything but last month I was on the herbalife diet. Just to kind of detox myself and she brought in goodies all the time but still told me to stay strong. Yea! I'm really glad I got support on here and I feel good going into this know I have positive people to turn to. I don't think I'm even going to tell my sister because will will post it on Facebook.
  14. Wow that's the attitude I need to let myself have. I do always care about what people think and say. I'm going to keep that in mind the next time someone tries to give me negative advise. When I get banded its going to be a new me
  15. Something to put on my question list. Thank u.
  16. Congrats!! I hope soon I will be able to say my date. I'm still working out some insurance issues. I'm changing insurances so hopefully this one is better. I know it's covers but I have to pay 20% plus my 1,000 deductible. I wonder if the 20 % will be billed later or will that have to be paid first. Regardless I am here to stay!!! Keep me posted in your progress. I'm rooting for u girl!!!!
  17. Have anyone had the lapband and kept it a secret from nosey co workers? How did you go about doing this and is it easy to be intimate without you partner feeling the port?
  18. I work for the Franciscan alliance ( medical field) we have a choice between premier $0 100, 1000 or the advantage. Does anyone know anything about these from Indiana?
