Fooling Around After Surgery
Same here.

Dizziness
Hmmmm, interesting. I just read something on the internet about dizziness and hands becoming very cold associated with low iron levels. Maybe that has something to do with it as well.

Protein Drinks And Shakes, What Ones Are Good?
I agree. Isopure is DISGUSTING.

Dizziness
Wow Michelecaples, that sucks. Do you think it might be a dehydration thing as well?

Dizziness
Anyone else get really dizzy in the AM? I did this morning for the first time. It's almost noon now and I'm just now finally coming out of it but still having a hard time with it.

Pre-Op Liquid Diet - Cant Stomach This! :(
Just do your best with trying to follow what your doctor wants. I didn't have to do the pre-op liquid diet but, I did have to loose 5% of my body weight and see the nutritionist about 6 times until I lost 12.7lbs. My program made us eat like they wanted us to eat at 1yr out. Which I thought was a good idea but, I sometimes think doing a pre-op liquid diet would've been a faster way to loose 12.7lbs.

Fitbit Aria Scale
Yes, you're right. The Fitbit is the little clip thingy you wear. The Aria is a scale. The Fitbit will give you the most information, calories burned, how many stairs you've climbed, how active you are at specific times, (kinda like an actigraphy watch if anyone has ever worn one of those things), what time it is, how many steps you've taken, and how many miles you've gone in a day. The software will give you percentages on this data also. It's pretty cool. The Aria is a scale that wirelessly puts your weight into your computer (an easy way to track your weight - incase you're like me and forget by the time you get to the computer). It also does some other fancy stuff too like BMI and body fat percentage. The Aria uploads the data and it gets combined with the Fitbit data in the same software. Because I can't eat anything, I like getting all crazy about the numbers. It gives me something else to do when my family is eating pizza! Although, it's kinda hard to get the Aria to work with the computer but, I finally figured it out. The Fitbit was a breeze to start up.

My Family Is Having Pizza
I haven't lost any weight this whole 3rd week so, that also makes it a little frustrating. BUT, I'm not gonna give up!!!!

My Family Is Having Pizza
That's right! I am doing it for me and if I ate some of it, I'd barf anyways, right? I'm in my 3rd week, almost 4th week. I have an IUD as well but, I had my period the day after surgery in the hospital, and now I'm having one WAY worse than I think I can remember. I'm soooo mad! lol I'm not used to having these dang periods because of my IUD so, It's way weird. The feeling of fitting into a size smaller is better than any piece of pizza, right?!

My Family Is Having Pizza
My family is having this fantastic smelling pizza and I can't have any!!! Waaaaa!!! All I get is horrible cramps from the heaviest period I've had since I was a teenager and a strong sense of head hunger. Blah

Sex
Thanks for the advice, we're good now. . I've never been with someone like him, so different. He's very sensitive and gets his feelings hurt easily so, it's hard for me to talk to him about stuff like this. In my past relationships I felt more at ease with bringing up difficult topics. Maybe I'm learning to be more gentle about these difficult topics through this relationship.

Sex
Anyone feel like they have less sex after surgery? I'm 34 and my boyfriend is 53. He smokes weed everyday too. I felt this way before surgery too but, it seems worse lately. I guess the combo of old age and weed would make a man less likely to want to have sex. But, even if he gets turned on(and I can totally tell he is), he doesn't want to continue or do anything about it. I think I'm becoming more attractive. Maybe he thinks the opposite. Who knows. I've never been with somebody who doesn't want sex on a regular basis. Also, I don't smoke weed-last time I did was maybe 4 months ago, and then a year before that-in case someone was wondering.

Fitbit Aria Scale
I know! Right? That's kinda why I got it, along with the fitbit. It's amazing to see how inactive I am. ( btw, I finally got the darn thing to work)

Fitbit Aria Scale
Hahaha, it's like this "smart" scale that wirelessly transmits your weight to the computer when you weigh yourself. And it does other stuff too

Fitbit Aria Scale
I just bought a fitbit aria scale and I'm having a SUPER hard time syncing it up to my computer. Does anybody have one of these things or know about them? My computer could be the culprit I suppose.

Fitbit Aria Scale
I bought a fitbit Aria scale and I'm having a ton of trouble getting it to sync up to my computer. Anybody have one of these things? I have the fitbit and it's working great. I guess it could be something wrong with my computer.

Third Week Post Op With No More Weight Loss!
I'm in my third week post-op and I've stayed the same weight for 4 days now! I've been really good with my diet. Not super active because I'm so tired at times. Is it normal to have a stall in weight loss the third week?
-
To Tired
Oh my gosh! I feel the same way! I've had extreme fatigue on and off. I'm on my third week post-op. I fell asleep in the dentists waiting room yesterday! I hate it. I feel like I can't get anything done. I'm hoping it will be over soon like everyone says.

Diarrhea?
Don't be scared. You will be fine. It might be a little rough going the first week but the second week will fly by. I also think that not everyone has diarrhea. My friend who had the sleeve didn't. Even though I've had diarrhea a lot, never for a second do I wish I DIDN'T have this surgery. I'm soooooo glad I went through with it.
