  1. it is normal to hit a plateau for a while and more than once. i am sure you will start loosing again just give it time i say as long as you are losing inches good for you! what's important is that your health get better not how big you are.
  2. are you losing inches?
  3. SF Jell-o was my best friend during pre-op
  4. are you on any meds
  5. is there anyone in the Idaho Falls area? my surgeon is from blackfoot but would like to find other friends from South East Idaho
  6. so I am on mushies and my little mini food processor broke. so i went out and bought just the $40 Ninja food processor with blender.....LOVE IT! it works so much better. And i was able to go through some of my old clothes. I wish i had saved more of them.
  7. some of it is dr preferences. my dr only uses one size the LB large 14cc
  8. I only have my profile pic. and all i had to do was click on my pic on my profile page
  9. i'll have to look for that cause i am getting sick of choc whey protein! was gonna buy some unjury. but i hate ordering anything online.
  10. are you on any meds?
  11. you found unjury at wal-mart?
  12. i had a hiatal hernia fixed with my band. which is kind of common in over weight people. you'll be fine. i have more pain from my port area and the main incision where he did most of the work from than i do from the hernia. every once in a while if i bend over to far or something than i can feel the hernia. but it's not bad
  13. i am so sorry you have had so many problems i hope the surgery fixes your health problems. my father had horrible reflux and he didn't have a band. he had to sleep with his bed at a 4 inch incline. and finally had to have surgery where they tied his esophagus in a knot pretty much. now he doesn't burp. but has no more reflux.
  14. i've lost 21lbs since i started my pre-op diet i'm only down 14 lbs since surgery. i'm more excited about the 4 inches! can't wait till all the swelling goes down
  15. i'm still learning i want to try unjury. so far i've used wal-marts whey protein.
  16. true but it's hard to get that much protein in one day until you get the hang of it and know what your doing. i am suppose to have 6 meals with one of those being a shake.
  17. you need to get at least 60g of protein a day. and shakes are so far for me the best way to get that in.
  18. my follow up went well today. I've lost a total of 21 lbs and 4 inches. I was able to pull out some of my smaller clothes. Dr said everything is good. I won't be able to get my first fill until my 6 week check up. But he gave me a list of eating guide lines that will determine wither or not i need one. We talked about my colon and how being irregular is normal. it's like re learning to have healthy BM's. I know that's TMI but i know that there are others out there that have the same problem. they recommended prunes. or that i double up on my dose of miralax.
  19. thank you so much
  20. i have never heard of Jay Robb. where do you get that. i know Unjury is bought online.
  21. with the lap-band it's a slower weight loss. and if that is a major concern then WLS is not for you. some people do elect to get LB and Gastric Plication done at the same time. but that isn't really needed in my book if you follow the directions and rules of the LB
  22. do they sale a tasteless version in health stores?
  23. i did a lot of research before i chose mine and watched a lot of youtube videos with testimonials and almost everyone who had some other kind of WLS said they wished they had done lap-band instead. or they were planning a second surgery to get the lap-band because they were unsuccessful with the first. with other WLS you have the surgery and are sent on your way with LB surgery you work more with your Surgeons team consisting of a dietitian a exercise physiologist and your surgeon. I think every surgery has complications nothing is perfect. and we all have health issues to begin with that's why we turned to WLS. LBT is a place were we can vent and express what's going on with our bodies so we know if it's normal or not. but in truth none of us are the same and all our journeys will be different. we can't compare ourselves to each other. but the common thread we all share is that we are all happy to have LB and each other. and i wouldn't change what i did for the world.
  24. good or bad? i'm getting kind of sick of the shakes i bought from wal-mart even though they are a good source of protein and would like input on this before i buy some.
  25. good luck tomorrow! you'll do great!
