  1. Well! I have made it. I am finally getting my BAND on Feb 14th. Wahoo! I am so ready. This has been a 1 year process! I can't wait to get this done! How long is everyone taking off of work? Best Success Wishes to All of us Feb Bansters
  2. I feel all your pain. My last appointment was sep 20th. I called my office 3 weeks later, I called and they said they submitted the paperwork to my insurance. I have called my insurance 3 times and they say that they still have not received my paperwork. I had to get new fax number for my insurance to call back my Doc's office to fax the paperwork. I am so lost at this point! It's been 2 months since my last and final appointment and I feel like we are not any closer to a date This is so hard and frustrating!
  3. Prayer and best wishes your way. Everything is going to be great. Congrats on the rest. Cheers
  4. congrats on your approval. best wishes for your date.
  5. congrats on your surgery date and getting approved
  6. I think the toes thing is too true. Agreed with thigh rubbing, cloth shopping and the bed room boom boom to be more spontaneous. There are so many things that I look forward to. Collar bones, upper arms that don't wave back at people and being able to cross my legs again. So many different things. Cant wait for all the changes.
  7. Congrats on your success so far. It makes everything worth it! Thats so awesome that people notice. Keep up the great work.
  8. shoemaker... i like your ideas! they sound awesome
  9. wow... thanks guys. It is so reassuring to hear that other people are on the 6 month plan too. I feel like everyone's process has gone so quick. I appreciate that others are feeling the "hurry up and wait" time frame! Congrats on having dates for surgery guys! I hope to be there with you all soon. Keep me updated on your progress and I am so happy to hear from you guys! Thanks Again
  10. Thank you Rita!! I appreciate that! Just such a long process! Thank you for the support!
  11. I was one of the lucky one's who's insurance requires a 6 month diet tracking with a nutritionist. I started this process in 01/12 with the consult, 02/12 to get the Doctor, 03/12 we started the nutritionist meeting, the therapist and food logs. I just finished the 6 months and NOW it's time for my office to submit the paper work to my insurance for the approval for surgery. I originally thought that I was going to be an October Bander, but now, I have no idea what to expect on when, or even if I will be approved. This is probably the most insecure that I have felt this whole process! This part sucks. I wish I had a date to at least feel comfort in the waiting process. UGH!
  12. My doc recommended the juicy, but frozen into pop's for after surgery. That way you get the protein and the taste good too. I hear the liquid is pretty thick but the powdered protein is good too. You can also try Matrix Mint Cookie and cream or Costco's protein too. Both are awesome!
  13. Congrats on the Call and your Oct date! I hope to be there soon with you! Keep us posted on your success!
  14. I forgot to check their website! Thank you so much.
  15. so far i have only used the PB2 and PB2 chocolate in protein drinks. How else is everyone else using them? Any new ways or recipes?
  16. when I had mine, they ask why I wanted to have the surgery, what my support system at home was like, where do you go to de stress. I only had 2 appointments with mine and everything was good to go. They were more reassuring then judgmental. Just relax and I'm sure everything will go great. Best of Luck on your process.
  17. sounds like a great app. Thank you for sharing
  18. fostermamma... I have not heard about the rocking chair! I will have to remember that. I have heard people trying anything from walking to a stationary bike to help get rid of the gas pains. I have heard everyone raving about SF popsicles. Who has the best ones? You are not the only person to share that secret. Thank you so much. Congrats on your recent band! You enjoy that banana... And thank you again.
  19. New Me- Thank you for the info! I can't wait to get this process started! It sound like the Pre-Op is similar to the Post- Op diet. I have to remember to take this whole processes patiently. Thank you again! and I look forward to using this site as a tool to be successful I appreciate you!
  20. So I have just finished my 6 months under my doctor and nutritionist. I have 1 last appointment with my Doc nest Thurs, then they will be submitting my request to the Insurance Company. I have read on here that a lot of people had Pre-Op diets. My question was, When did you find out about the pre-op diet? What was the purpose of the diet? Do you still do the diet if you lose weight prior to your Band date. Thank you again for the support and the knowledge that you are all sharing! <3 I appreciate it! I just want to be successful in the journey! GIve*LOVE*Back - Diana
