  1. if the vomiting is happning after you take the meds there are probably getting stuck because you are swollen in that area. keep on the liquids hot as much as you can for the swelling and the comfort on the stomach and rest with your heating pad. Pain meds can also upset the stomach your heating pad is probsbly working better then the meds it did for me.
  2. to shrink your liver so they can get around that area better. I know its a bummer but how lucky you are that they are even working this week way to start the new year...2013 is look good
  3. I agree with all the above eat anything you want and track it. Its about how many calories you take in and how much you burn off. my band wont let me eat to much which is the best part for me. So watch your portions and east what you want
  4. me too never thought I could feel normal around food I am physical and mental full after a meal I don't think of food between meals,I feel it the band just repaired a defalt in this area and now its fountioning perfectly its all so new and it great...6 wk after you surgery and you are healed and rested you will be so glad you did this.
  5. I agree its the meds also the anistedic they used in the surgery can do that pain med don't help with headache hot showers and a nap with a ice pack always help me.
  6. do you have a digital scale? I did and changed the battiers and the number changed. remember you are still in the healing stage and retain a lot of water and you might not have weight loss because of it. I didn't really feel restricted until my 3 rd fill so be sure to ask how soon you can have another just to be prepared, I had a total of 3 for a total of 6.5cc in a 10cc band and it is really good... track all you put in your mouth and keep going this is the answer to weight loss I am never hungry so I eat on the clock to make sure I don't get to hungry and eat to fast this works for me very well. On my last fill I went in as said I hadn't lost in a month and it truned out I had loss 10lbs that's when I went and fixed the scale. good luck you can do it
  7. and your colon makes a lot of noise so keep it and you moving.
  8. fabulous good work 2013 is looking good
  9. fugde share please
  10. you are doing great and its a good thing that you and your band are so good together. I wasn't even tho I lost I was so hungry in between and ended up having 6.5cc in a 10 cc band so I feel there is not flexibility in the band and so things get stuck if I am not carful.you are just proff that every one is different and the bottom line is we are all losing.
  11. oh well, it happens
  12. get to pooping so it gets out of there milk of magnesia is very gental on the stomach and works very well. and I agree with all the ones above....I even sat in the shower on my back heat, heat, heat this is the worst part life is better on the other side hang in there
  13. Good will or other thrift store are cheap and they love your old ones.
  14. sure it wont hurt you or your band. some folks say it slows down you weight loss but sometimes its just nice to have one. I have had one in the 4 mos that I have been banded...track it and what how you feel.
  15. I haven't noticed a change but I have only been on 4 mos. good luck
  16. wow, I sure hope I am not one of t to those people you are talking about. I think most of us thing we are being helpful and not rude and don't want to hurt some ones feelings but its hard to get your feelings I while writing a post. Me for one if I have been rude in any way I am sorry and it hunger talking....I hope everyone has a great weight success.
  17. agree with the above but yes it does we all thought so to
  18. my doctor said if its a stick just go ahead and pull it out and clean it up.
  19. Oh honey you have had a tough time I am so proud of you for handling that so well Iam not sure I could have done so well. It is so much harder when others around you are eating things you cant for a while...hang in there this will get better and be sure to share with you hubby and ask for his help.
  20. this is the hardest part clean all the junk out of your house now tell the family tough until you get the band working. The band requires some fills to get the right spot. mine took 3 fills and now its a ton easier then in those days. you will make it just one meal at a time.
  21. it will be expensive good luck with your search I had a very hard time understanding medicare supplement insurance got some but don't understand it still.what a racket these insurance company have on us
  22. You are so newly banded its good that you don't try anything that is not on your doctors order. I've had my band since Augs and down 42 lbs..I track every bit but yesterday we were out shopping and could smell the charcoal of burgers and I wanted one so bad. We went in and I didn't order it but daughter did but I asked for a bite it got stuck and I was cured lol I love my band it takes out the I want out of it...I also don't put myself in a position where I might not stop eating like in the past. If I do (had chocolate ) I track it and make sure I don't go over my calories. plan, Plan PLAN IS THE NAME OF MY GAME
  23. Call your therapist now and let her know these uncontrollable thought there is meds to help you out. You will meet a lot of people who will be jelous because you are taking control of yourself and body and they will not be supportive but we are here and we will be. Do not talk to your Mom about this ever she is in need of cousling also. keep your distance from people that are not supportive and stay focused on the new life ahead...Come to the chat area any time for support also someone is always there. you can do this and nothing bad is going to happen to you from the band. never heard of a nicotine patch for anxiety but if it works good.
  24. My nutrinist said 160 would be good for me I an 5'6 and 64 yrs old I have lost 42 lbs since Aug and have 8 lbs to be under 200 I cant wait. set small goals and when reached set another do not worry about the end because there is no end its life.
