  2. Spoke to my doctor, he said he just placed the band but didn't fill it up.. that will happen on my first fill. :-)
  3. Just had my surgery on 8/28/12 and today is my first doctor appointment. I don't know what to expect. I'm pretty sure they are going to weight me.. I'm not sure what to say or what to ask for? Any suggestions?

  7. Hello everyone, Just a question... I loss 19lbs on my 2wk diet before my lapband surgery.. I had my surgery on 8/28/12 & I've drink liquids/water... And I haven't loss anymore weight. Is it normal that its been a week that I've intaken less than 1,000calories & no weight comes off?
  8. Thank you both for your opinion & knowledge, its was greatly appreciated.
  9. I need to lose A LOT of weight, I hope they fill me up with 1,000,000,000cc!! Lmao!! I'm just joking, sense of humor over here.. hope Doc gives me whatever is best for me.
  10. Someone said it may be possible that our lapbands are not filled yet & once we get our bands filled thats when our hungry calms down... I hope so...
  11. Sojourner, Thank you so much for replying to my post.. I do feel better for asking my question. Thanks again :-)
  12. Oh ok thank you... I wonder how does a doctor how much a patient's should get..
  13. Hello, I have a question to anyone who can answer it... I just got lapband on 8/28/12... And I have to go for my fill in 6wks.. I was told that I have to follow a liquid diet for 2wks, then muchy soft foods 3wks after that... And so on... My question is.... On the day of my surgery, is my lapband filled? Is it just the band alone? Sorry if I sound uneducated about this but I honestly don't know.. only because I feel hungry at times & I know when people get their lapband filled, they're not..
  14. Laker, Congrats on your accomplishment!! Good for you, very happy for you! I just have a question..... How did you/anyone get their band slipped? Just want to know what to look out for..
  15. When I had to start my 2wk shake before surgery, that was very very very difficult for me to do!! I had to lock myself up in my bedroom or leave my house while everyone ate & I will show up when everything is put away... I purchased the strawberry powder shake from my doctor's office. They said pour a scoop, water/skim milk & shake it up.. it was disguisting!!!!! Lord forgive me! I chose to get my blender, add 5ices, chop up a banana, chop up 5strawberries, pour the scoop of powder Meal Replacement, I chose to add a little bit of Crystal Light (doc said Crystal Light is ok to drink during 2wk diet) fruit punch juice, blend it up! Added 3more ice cubes to make it colder, blend it up more... And it came out DELICIOUS!!!! Doc didn't want me adding strawberries or banana to my shakes but I'm sorry, I had to!! At the end of the day, I intake less than 1,000 calories to my diet.. So try it out.. I enjoyed my shakes :-)
