  4. I had the ultimate test of willpower today. I am sitting in a faculty meeting around 3:45, and we have about 50 pizza delivered, every topping, every type. They sit four pizzas at every meeing table. I wanted a slice so bad, but i knew it would only get stuck, make me hurl, and probably make my already tender tummy hurt even worse. i have not had to throw up yet and I know my will power will probably be way less once i know my incisions have healed and it is less likely that i will damage my band. BUT today right as I drink another bowl of beef broth i fell damn good about myself. ·
  5. hello my fellow 8/30 twins. TOday I was hungry. I ate my broth and a shake. waited 15 minutes and decided to have another shake and bowl of broth. Well silly me i had two spoons of broth and a sip of the shake. Guess I have my Breakfast for tomorrow. And now the gas is killing me. THis is going to take some getting used to. BUT, I know I am lucky. I had no back or shoulder pain just abdominal gas. and pain at the incision and port sites. Good luck my fellow banders we will get thru this

  9. I am on Day 3 of Pre-op diet. I had a chocolate shake for breakfast, The chicken soup shake for lunch, and salmon with a salad for dinner. Thank goodness for my Crystal light peach tea and my nightly cup of canteloupe. So far so good.
  10. Thank you Lucie. I got to meet Dr. Reilly when he did my EGD and he seemed very nice. The whole staff seemed very nice. I am just worried that I do not have enough recovery time. As a teacher I went ahead and took the first Thursday and Friday of school off. Luckily, I have Labor Day off the Monday, but I have to back to work on Tuesday. Did you feel any pain or weakness?
