  1. Which was harder: the preop liquid diet phase or the post-op liquid diet & mushies phase?
  2. -jrodriguez68: don't give up! I'm on day 7, and yes, i'm still hungry, but I weigh myself each morning and can see that it's worth it.
  3. I'm on day 5 too, and this pre-op diet part is soooooo hard. I'm still hungry all the time. Surgery date is 12/19, and I just hope I can survive
  4. I had headaches the first day. I'm on day 4 and the headaches are gone (the hunger is not!!!)
  5. My surgery date is 12/19, and I'm on day 3 of the pre-op diet. I am soooooo hungry! Hopefully it will get better in a day or two
  6. My surgeon had the peer to peer review today with aetna, and i got approved! Liquid diet starts tomorrow, and my surgery is dec 19.
  7. I just went for a sleep test last night and failed miserably. I'm a stomach sleeper, so sleeping in a strange bed hooked up to tons of wires and being told to sleep on my back did not work well for me. I didn't spend enough time sleeping on my back for them to get sufficient results. Waiting to talk to my doctor this morning to find out what to do next
  8. Jbright: thanks for the info! I'm getting tested for sleep apnea next week (plus this approval process is giving me high blood pressure, so that should count, right? Haha). I'm hoping for the peer to peer review next week, since my surgeon and aetna played phone tag this whole week I've also contacted the Lindstrom group, so i'm not backing down.
  9. Jbright: did you get approved? I am in the exact same situation; while taking phentermine, my weight stayed at a 37 BMI. I'm no longer on phentermine and have a BMI over 44. Aetna denied, and now I'm waiting for the peer to peer review
  10. Beckysue: I am in the same boat as you. Aetna denied me, and I'm waiting for my surgeon to do the peer-to-peer review. Good luck! Please keep us updated.
  11. Thanks everyone I called last Thursday and Friday and was told both times that it was still under review. You know I will be calling again on Monday
  12. I know I'm being impatient, but my husband and I had our paperwork submitted on the same day (Nov 7) to Aetna, and he already has been approved (approved on Nov 15). I'm starting to get worried that I'm not going to be approved. Anyone have Aetna and can tell me how long it took for them to get approved? Thanks!
