October 16, 201213 yr Surgeons office just submitted my paperwork to the insurance company!!! So scared of being denied, but I'm trying to stay positive on a quick approval.

I did 3 months, and I'm so nervous and ready to start this new chapter in my life, I know it will be hard but so worth it!!! October 16, 201213 yr Sending positive thoughts your way. I am finally at the end of my six month supervised time for Aetna. My thyroid was one point to high and I've had to take thyroid meds for the last month before we can submit because dr.'s office said insurance will turn it down unless thyroid is in normal levels. Getting checked in the morning hope levels are good
October 22, 201213 yr Still waiting to hear a response!!! This is nerve wrecking!!! Me too! My paperwork was submitted to Aetna on the same day, October 16th. I called Aetna today and I am still in review. They said they have a 14 day window to approve or disapprove. (They better hurry up, I am supposed to be scheduled for October 31st, I hope it doesn't get delayed!

I really hope it doesn't take the full 14 days!!! The surgeons office put that my surgery date was 10/24/12....I guess that is just an estimated date.

October 23, 201213 yr Good luck let us know. Mine was submitted today to Aetna. The doctors office told me they have 2 to 6 weeks to approve. Ugh this will be the longest 6 weeks of my life. How has your experince been with Aetna?

How has your experince been with Aetna? Well once they submit it takes 48 hours just to make a file, at least that's what happened to me. I'm hoping it doesn't take the full time frame because a lot of people on the forum said there's was approved quickly.

But I've put that on hold until I start losing weight. I plan on learning how to sew and get a machine I know that might come in handy with the weight loss!!! What about you, what are your hobbies?
October 23, 201213 yr I love shopping as well but i hate trying on clothes!!! All because of the weight gain.. ummm. I like to listen to music, play with my step children and cook Its great that you are looking in to sewing.. That definatley seems like a great idea to help cut down on cost during your beautiful transition Let wait and wait and wait because you are definately going to get a BIG FAT YES!!!!! Any upcoming sewing classes?
