  2. I was sleeved in Mexicali by Dr. Aceves. I am 4 weeks out and down 17.5 lbs. Is this normal or slow?

  5. Glad to hear ur doing well! I dont get to go home until tomorrow
  6. No problem, good luck with ur surgery :-)
  7. Np! I woke up in the recovery room freezing and nauseated but with no pain.
  8. Sure! I have some gas pain in my shoulder that I have been trying to walk off. I am working on little sips of apple juice and gatorade. The most discomfort I have is around this damn drain lol, but it is bearable. Im excited to know that the drain comes out tomorrow. I have been walking, watching tv, and dozing off here or there all day. I did almost get sick after my antibiotic it tasted like banana chalk, but I was quickly given anti nausea meds that took it away. Btw I was only given antibiotics because they found that I had a utI from my urine sample
  9. I was sleeved yesterday (28th) too. I hope ur doing well! I keep hearing that today is the worst and we willl feel better everyday from here on out
  10. I was just sleeved by dr. aceves this morning and posting from almater hospital. I am feeling great so far and im glad I did this for myself. Im officially on the losers bench

  17. Thanks everyone, I feel better about going (I am going alone which makes me a tiny bit nervous). Is anyone going the end of September?
  18. I have been watching this site getting helpful information for months and just haven't signed up. Welp...I got my surgery date today with Dr. Aceves. I will be going to Mexicali to be sleeved on Sept 28th and I'm super excited~! This site is awesome for people who don't have a very strong support system at home, thank you so much I had a consult with a local surgeon but decided to cancel and be self pay because Dr. Aceves appears to be a much more experienced surgeon.... Can anyone tell me what to expect as far as pain and pain management?
