  1. Congratulations! Many would say you have been blessed, lol. Thats why its hard for us to tell someone how its going to be, everyone is different. Now if you can only be blessed enough, not to need any fills.lol Best wishes on your new journey to better health.
  2. I certainly can't "like" that Michelle.. I am so sorry this is happening to your family. I hope either your daughter leaves him or they get serious couples counseling. I think you have figured out away to handle this, by running. Try to do something non food to cope. And don't beat yourself up for slipping and sliding through this mess. This is a huge stress factor. We're all moms here, we can relate. The sad thing is your daughter may work this out, but it will stay with mom F O R E V E R. My thoughts and prayers for all of you!
  3. and the more you stress, the more you want to turn to food to relieve it. I too, would go with the bigger size. It can be taken in, if need be.
  4. Sorry to hear that you had to have a second revision. I hope this mesh thing does the trick. I had to have a revision 3mths out, like you, it had flipped. My Dr also said it was very rare. I was only his second patient out of hundreds, this had happened to. He also said mine was b/c the scar tissue had not had enough time to develop and help hold it in place. I certainly hope that same scar tissue doesn't cause it to flip again.lol I would definitely have a second revision. Good luck and thank you for sharing your experience.
  5. The good news for you,Donna is that you recognized you had a problem and doing everything you can to defeat it. Some ppl never admit they have a problem and need help. My sister had a gastric bypass years ago b/c of her food addiction. She lost a lot of weight, but didn't fix the head problem that caused her to use food for comfort. Since she couldn't use food for comfort, she turn to alcohol and has become a case of beer per night person and gained all her weight back. She traded one addiction for another. She wants a band over bypass, but the Dr won't do it, b/c it won't fix her head. It is very sad and until they admit they have a problem, all we can do is pray for them and not in able them. Like your ex, my sister looks terrible. She sent a family picture at my mothers 85 birthday, my mother looked in better health than my sister. Sometimes ppl have to hit rock bottom, before they can see their way up. That's where I was, literally did not want to live another day in the pain I was in. The Lord heard my prayers and made away for me to get the help I needed and I now have my life back. If I need comforting, I now turn to something that can't hurt me. Like I shared with you before, getting in touch with the beauty around me,in my own backyard, or just giving a stranger a few minutes of my day. May all those that have an addiction find peace within themselves, so they may live the life that they were meant to live.
  6. Looking good, congrats!
  7. LOL, don't think I'll be doing that tour. I wouldn't be able to resist choc. chip cookies either. Great job, it could have been oh so much worse.
  8. My Dr said "the first 48hrs is the worst" and he was right. Everyday after that got better and better. Hang in there, its worth it. Congratulations fellow bander!
  9. BTW, I did not even bother reading your article, like missy said "completely irrelevant"
  10. Well said girls! Since the news broke about Gov. Christie, I have felt nothing but anger to those who choose to judge him and his decisions. This was his personal , should have been private decision, no one elses.Where was the hippa laws and who broke them? The media should be ashamed of their selves. I wish he would join us here, so we can support him.
  11. By now, you know I love your articles. Keep'em coming!!!!!
  12. The first few days are the hardest. Your body is dumping all the toxic junk in your system. If you can just hang on, that will pass. Keep busy, drink as much as you can, go for a walk. You can do this.Don't allow yourself to think you can't.
  13. I never felt reflux, but I had what they call "silent reflux". Gastrointerologist told me"no dairy". Thats when he put me on 2 Prilosec a day. My endoscopy showed erosion to the point of near esophageal cancer. Thats why I'm always telling ppl not to ignore reflux. Have you had an endoscopy, Carole?
  14. I finished my quilt top too. Also got it sandwiched and ready to start quilting, yeah for us... What are you working on, color, pattern and such?
  15. Maddysgram commented on ♕ajtexas♕'s blog entry in ajtexas's Blog

  16. Terri, Nicole, Michelle & Diane, I hope to be hearing from you all soon. Know my thoughts are with you and wishing you all a wonderful day. TTYL Off to quilting....bbl
  17. Dawn, The mosquitoes were still pretty thick last night. Even though I'm treating my standing Water, the rest of swampy FL is not. If our county could send the helicopters up and start spraying, we might get a handle on it. They tend to start at the end of summer. Go figure! I'm hoping to ride my bike this weekend. My knee blew out at VS yesterday, was ready to offer a stranger $20 to wheel me out to my car. But I limped slowly out, ppl watching me and feeling very self conscious. By the time I got to my car, I had worked it out and just a little sore today. By tomorrow it should be back to "normal", whatever that is. Did you get your new seat? I do have a nice padded seat.
  18. Carole, I am feeling much better. Had a really goodnights sleep last night, yeah. I will post pictures of my finished quilt, when I finish it.lol Every time I think I'll sit down to work on it, someone calls me away. Today is the day!!!! I could send pictures of all the fabric I have collected, for future projects. I have 4 things planned, bought and waiting. Maddy's lap quilt, all cut and planned, just needs sewing. Another baby blanket, fabric bought and just thought of pattern this AM. A beautiful red, black and white fabrics I like and Ange & Evans quilt that I just ordered. Not to mention all the fabrics I have purchase and have no idea what for.lol Maybe something for my ctwins... Ange is in total bliss. She loves her new home. She is feeling well and all this makes momma feel really good too. Thank all of you who have asked about her! I forgot to share what my son in law said about me , last weekend. He said to Ange " this might sound strange, but I miss your mom". How sweet is that! Carole, I know your time with Seth will be tough and my thoughts and prayers will be with you. Us moms understand, men don't get it. I'm so excited seeing pictures of your hgtv kitchen episode. Its like waiting for a season premier.
  19. I am so sorry, Dee! Just sent you a pm.
  20. Good morning ladies. Happy Friday! What's everyone's Father's Day plans? I will be thanking my heavenly Father first, for all He has done for rotten ole me and blessing me with such wonderful friends here. Then will have fond memories of my dad, who loved me more than any other man could. Then I will fix my hub and extra good breakfast and wait on him hand and foot all day, even though he is not my father, lol which sometimes I have to remind him " you ain't my daddy, don't tell me what to do". See, I am not always a peace maker, sometimes a little of a trouble maker.
  21. I pray they do too... So happy to hear about Sushi. If dogs are like ppl, they can live for quite awhile on medication. I always heard that milk products are not good for acid. Will have to google that.
  22. Happy Bandiversary, Donna!
  23. First 6weeks are for healing, not weight loss. Like kaz said "as long as you're following the drs rules", you'll be fine.
  24. Thanks to Miss Dee, I went to Victory Secret for a bra sizing. Never done that before. I've been wearing the wrong size bra my whole life. I always wore a D cup and I got a 38DD.Most of it was still bending over and having my side flab fall into cup. Got underwire, which I have never been comfortable in, but I can't tell with my new ones. All in all, I'm very happy. Thanks Dee for going first!
  25. Thanks Terri, for the heads up on the website. I'm such an idiot, I'm looking around for my tablet to look it up, as I'm reading your thread on my tablet.
