  1. I am only 5 lbs away from ONEDERLAND! It's so close, but feels so far! I've been hovering at the same weight for a week or so, and almost feel like when I'm close to a mini goal like this that I sort of sabotage myself for a bit. So yesterday, I decided it's time to quit fartin' around! That's all. :-D
  2. Not that! Lol! We went to the movies and sat right next to each other... Comfortably! instead of leaving a seat in between us. My mom did point out that between the two of us we've lost 110lbs. Pretty much that was like a 110lb person missing from the arm rest between us! Woot woot! I was banded aug 7, 2012. Hubby was banded Sept 25, 2012.
  3. I started my journey in about March or April. Shortly thereafter I started reducing my insulin. I was completely off of my insulin for at least 2 months before I even had my surgery on Aug 7, 2012. Getting thinner is great, but I cannot express how amazing it feels to know I am healthier. I'm healthier in a real, tangible way. Now, I only take metformin and my blood sugars are consistently very normal. Also, I have always had very irregular to non existent periods. Suddenly, I'm having those again. Good luck in which ever path you choose. It has been a lot of hard work, but I impress myself daily, and I'm so grateful to have this tool to help be a better me!
  4. Donklos is a spammer. JMO.
  5. The fill was super uneventful and my hubby is doing great! I am so excited for him! I would love it if the pounds would just fly off now, but somehow, I'm guessing it'll keep moving at the same pace. I hope you're right!
  6. I had people say that to me a lot even before I started losing weight. I said, well, thank you, that's kind, but I am not healthy. I have type 2 diabetes and it is out of control. I'm making a change for my life. That shuts em up fast. I think most people mean well, and the convo of WLS makes many uncomfortable, which causes silly comments. You do look wonderful btw!
  7. Thank you! I have lost 20 lbs since surgery, but I have been exercising and counting calories like a maniac. I understand it is very normal to not lose right after.
  8. I'm going today for my first fill. It's been seven weeks.
  9. My hubby is in surgery getting his band as I type this. I am so excited for him. After our surgeon finishes his band, I have an appointment with him for my first fill. It's an exciting day at our house!
  10. Rock on! Congrats!
  11. Woohoo!!! That is super! I'm happy for you!
  12. Since becoming type 2 diabetic, I would sweat like a lady of questionable morals in a place of worship. ALL THE TIME! Now that I'm down 50lbs and my blood sugars are very normal (even for a non diabetic) I am freezing all the time. I'm not gonna lie. I'm enjoying it!
  13. Amazing! I can't wait to join you. Congrats!
  14. Fantastic! That is exciting!
  15. Thanks, everyone! My surgery was August 7.
  16. Am officially down 50lbs from the beginning of my journey! That's 11 more pounds than my 4 yo weighs, and she is heavy to lug around! Excuse me while I have the success high for a moment! I don't have any fill in my band yet. I go September 25 for my first fill. I'm doin the happy dance! Ok. I'm done now.
  17. That is so impressive! Great job!
  18. I have NEVER in my life had a problem with constipation... Until now. I like a lot of these suggestions as three correctol every few days just seems, IDK, like too much.
  19. I love that idea with the water bottles too! Do the straws give you any trouble?
  20. I had several days of bad choices last week. I've refocused and am moving on too. BTW, great name! We've got this thing!
  21. Spectacular!!!! That is fantastic!
