  1. His wife probably put him up to it. I don't know any smart man that would comment on a women's weight. #Haters
  2. Okay, so I just looked at your photo like 3x!!! Beautiful!
  3. How has it been with your self image. I hear people say it is hard to adjust to new self? Was that difficult for you? In my mind I think anything under 200lbs is small lol. I can not imagine myself at 150lb.I am in love in love in love with myself. I feel like a super model. I don't have a whole lot of loose skin but what I do have I don't let bother me. I've dated a few people since my surgery (I'm single) and it was great, I just didn't let the flaws get to me. When I walk into a room men turn and look and I feel like a million zillion dollars. I can wear almost anything and I can wear heels. I do my makeup and hair everyday, I feel amazing!!!! I've had some complications since my surgery and I still don't regret it one tiny bit. It's the best thing I could have done. I'm joyful and I Celebrate myself and feel free in my new body. And I am so grateful for all of it!! That is sooo awesome!!! Sending you a virtual high 5!

  5. Just finished psych exam. Will finish nut visits in August
  6. You look amazing! You are gorgeous in both pics and do not look like you were 280!!! Congrats on your success!
  7. Yes, I am going through the revision process now. But they are still making me meet all requirements past the 2 year mark and even with it being medically necessary. My sleeve is twisted.... So frustrating
  8. How'd long did your approval process take?
  9. Glad to hear your revision process is moving smoothly! You have FEPBLUE??
  10. There are many many successful sleeve patients as you can read on the forum. There is also a group of us that suffered with post op gerd and other longterm side effects of the sleeve. My sleeve is now twisted which is a late term side effect, one that I didn't even know about. I do believe there is more data about the sleeve now. Just as any surgery you give it your all. Your surgical team is there to guide you. I too was a great sleeve patient. At the time I had no comorbities and I did not have gerd. It was honestly the best surgery for me at the time. I wish you the best of luck!
  11. I never had Gerd presleeve, I have it now. I am revising to bypass.
  12. I am almost 3 years post op from gastric sleeve surgery. My surgery was 10/1/12. I was a slow loser from the start. When I was ready, I was working out 5-6x a week. I saw my surgeon and nut at required times. They thought my progress was great. I had my surgery in Bogota. I lost 53lbs pre/post op from Oct 2012 until July 2013. We moved back to the US and I gained about 7lbs. We were living in a hotel and I started a new job. We found out we were expecting a baby in Sept 2013. My weight loss slowed between July and August of 2013 leading up to pregnancy. I had a difficult pregnancy but gained weight just like I did in my pre-sleeve pregnancy. After my delivery in 2014, I noticed an increase in reflux and my weightloss was nonexistent. I consulted with a new doctor. He ordered a barium swallow. That showed a hiatal hernia and confirmed gerd. At that time the doctor told me he had several post pregnancy sleeve patients with dilated sleeves. I had my follow up endoscopy which confirmed a nice size hiatal hernia and I have an angulated sleeve (it's twisted). The food is not exiting properly or timely. It causes the back up in the sleeve and the gerd. It is also like I have a pouch at end of sleeve. I have Federal BCBS, so I am in the process of meeting all insurance requirements. I have had my first of three nut visits. I also had my first part of psych eval. I also need my last two years of non pregnancy weights and a letter from my PCP.
  13. I mentioned in my other post about why I am sleeve to bypass. I still have to meet requirements by my insurance company, so you will want to check the revision requirements. There is several sleeve to bypass posts on here. I follow most of them :-) remember lilmissdiva- Irene she had a lapband, then sleeve and converted to bypass because of gerd. She was very active on the forums when we were prepping for surgery. Your dr is probably gonna want to do at EDG to see what is going on with your tummy...
  14. Congratulations!!! The happiness is all in this post. I can feel it!
  15. Either way for me my stomach and hernia have to be fixed. I would have never known if I did not go to dr!
  16. I remember you from the forums, I had my surgery 10/1/12. I lost about 53lbs pre and post op. My weight loss was SUPER slow!!! I got pregnant a year post surgery and gained 40lbs. After the baby, I started experiencing horrible GERD. I also was not losing weight at all. Slider foods like crackers much easier(not good I know) but something didn't seem right. So I consulted a new bariatric dr. as my first surgery was in S. America. He told me he has seen stretched sleeve post-pregnancy. Now mind you I was very diligent when pregnant. So he sent me for a barium swallow. It was discovered I did have GERD and a hiatal hernia. I went for an endoscopy last week. My sleeve is angulated (twisted) and has a bit if a pouch so food does not exit the way it should backs up in sleeve which can cause stretching and GERD. I am in the process of a revision. Get checked. I do not believe there is enough data about pregnancy and the sleeve IMO. I think there is still a lot they do not know.
  17. There is an app called eat slower, it tells you when to take a bite.... It is difficult but it really helps in the slowing down process
  18. Thank you! You are doing great. I do believe measurements are so important, sometimes the scale does not give us credit where due!
  19. That is awesome!!! Congratulations. What all is that you are using for tracking? I like it.
  20. I am in the process of sleeve to band revision. I had my surgery 10/1/12. I loss 53lbs with sleeve pre and post op. I got pregnant and cannot lose. I have an angulated (twist) sleeve that holds food causing gerd.... I also have a hiatal hernia. Currently back up to preop weight. Going through insurance requirements but expecting to have bypass in late Sept early October almost 3 years to the day from my sleeve. I am African American female CW-268

  22. I am 3 years post op. I was a slow loser. I lost 53lbs pre/post op from Oct 2012 until July 2013. We found out we were expecting a baby in Sept 2013.. That showed a hiatal hernia and confirmed gerd. Today, I had my follow up endoscopy which confirmed a nice size hiatal hernia and I have an angulated sleeve, meaning the sleeve is like a hook (I was still a bit high when dr was explaining) lol. But the food does not leave it just sits. It backs up causing gerd and stretching of sleeve. I am feeling some kinda way. Not sure what... Still processing. Gotta make a follow up appt with dr.
  23. My start weight was 265. I got down to about 219 prepregancy with the sleeve. My weight is back up after baby.
