  1. Are you working out? What are you eatin? How much are you eating? List your surgery date too.
  2. I never had heartburn. Non after. I have not had reflux or vomited. Sometimes after I eat I feel a little sick to my stomach but if I relax a bit it goes away.
  3. My tastes have changed. It seems like textures bother me too. And smells. I use too love bleach!!! Cleaned everything with it. Lately can not open the cap on the bottle without it gagging me. meat is the texture I can not handle. It is so weird. Even liquid fabric softener smells so different to me.
  4. Power aid zero. Crystal light. Sugar free Popsicles. And I totally agree on the protein. I was sent home and instructed to drink 4 oz of liquids an hour. I would take four 1 oz medicine cups. Fill one with power aid one with protein and 2 with water and watch the clock. I sat them on a tv tray beside the couch. It was nearly impossible but that was the only was I could keep hydrated and I still have never managed to get all of my protein in one day. I would not buy too many perishables. I wasted a lot and 4 weeks out I eat only 2 oz of food twice a day. Gas x strip saved me! And the heating pad was my best friend and still is sometimes. (you have to get one!) For me, i had a lot of pain after I left the hospital. It was a lot worse than I thought it wild be. Not trying to scare you. I wish I would have known. Just have your stuff ready. I thought i was and I wasn't!!!

  6. Wow!! Thanks for the info. Some how the acne on my face makes me feel better about my stall. Lol
  7. My drain was in for 7 days and I was still getting up to 80 ml a day. Mine was a source of a lot of pain but, my dr said the fluid collect under my skin and cause infection.
  8. Thank god. I know that if from here on out I was only losing a pound a week I would freak!!
  9. I have failed so many times. I am terrified I am going to screw this up. I know it is not a rational fear but It is making me a crazy person.
  10. I am freaking out. After this stall will I start only losing a pound a week? It seems too soon. Only 3 weeks out of surgery????
  11. August 14th. I started liquid diet aug 1st. I am counting from August 1st that I have lost 50 pounds. I think about 30 pounds from surgery date. Last week I lost about a pound and this week do far about a pound. Was dropping like crazy. Am I at a stall ? Will I ever drop weight quickly again?
  12. 70 to go. Lost 2 pounds last two weeks. Is this just a stall or does the weight loss slow down. I am only a month out of surgery.
  13. 70 to go. Lost 2 pounds last two weeks. Is this just a stall or does the weight loss slow down. I am only a month out of surgery.
  14. I know it is for me. My health and my benifit but damn!!! Who doesn't want to look good!!!? Lol .
  15. When does the stall happen??? I have been on liquids since August 1st and dropping weight like crazy. This last week the scale is not really moving? Is it too early for a stall??? What can I do to jump start. I am not cheating at all period.!!!
  16. I am still not telling!! Lol. . While I was just getting started with my nutritionist per-op. a distant relative had just publicly announced she had had the surgery and was down a good 80 pounds at a baby shower.everyone at the table I was sitting at were talking about how old she looked, her loose skin, how she took the easy way out, they think she has developed an eating disorder. Those people were my family!!
  17. I started at 238. Down to 190 and one person has noticed!!!! I will not go public with my surgery. I have witnessed too much negativity towards people who I know who have had the surgery in the past. It is a bit discouraging!!!.I honestly do not like the attention when it comes to my weight good or bad but gees how much do I have to lose to look different!! I was so unhappy with my appearance before and was starting to feel so much better about my self. People say it is a easy way to lose weight when you have surgery but, I was sleeved the 14th of August and it has been anything but easy!!!
  18. Wow!! You are doing sooo good!! Can I get that recipe???
  19. Great job Mel!! Thanks for sharing!!!
  20. Posative: I have lost 45 pounds. I was sleeved aug 14 th and had 2 weeks liquid diet before. 238 now 192 Not so positive: I am having trouble eating still. Nurse said to just work on getting protein in and water. I still am only getting about 40 grams of protein daily. I do not have nausea as much as fullness and uncomfortable after eating. Have tried jello, runny mashed potatoes and refried beans. Not so great. I feel hungery but... Eating isn't worth it. Having trouble with pain on left side still but we just made a 350 mile move and I have not lifted over 5 pounds I still have probably been too active. Still I am keeping hope alive!!:). I will feel better and be skinny too. Lol;).
  21. Sounds like you are doing great!!! What do you eat for soft foods?? Are you still drinking protein? Sorry feel like 50 questions but, I am having a rough time with food. Feel uncertain all the time about it.
  22. Great weight loss!!!! I will have to try the Shakology. I am about to gag on what I am drinking now. Why Almond milk? Thanks for your reply.. Keep it up.
