Wine! No Really...a Question For Serious Wine Drinkers :)
Interesting I do expect it will hit me harder (I can hold my own...or could) with the best of them, but I do get drunk if I have too much (I have a friend like you though so I get it). but we'll see about that. With food, my palate is fine. I do find I don't have any interest in "fake" foods, like popsicles, Jello, etc. but things I taste taste like they are supposed to, except for red wine. I almost feel like when I was first learning about wine and only drank Chardonnay! This is not a good thing LOL I have never had a great nose oddly, but my palate was excellent. I can pick up the most subtle hints of flavors...I like that about me DH and a friend opened a lovely bottle of Cab the other night...Cade, very beautiful wines, and I got vinegar and nothing else from a wine I love ;( I guess I just have to keep working on it. this is not a bus I'm going to quit catching LOL

Eating Out -- What Do You Eat?
- Im Scared!
My dinning room used to be the surgery in 1920 when our house was a hospital. We like to put a body on the table on halloween Would you like to borrow it's spooky clothing? It might make the spirits think you're one of them and they'll leave you alone....- Delete
LOL I'm sorry but that made me laugh. What a way to go out with a bang!- Should I Do It ?
I have a six year old and experienced severe complications that didn't allow me to care for my child for over 50 days. I still have to have a break because the last 19 days in hospital were grueling and I can't lift him and frankly he wears me out! Every day I get stronger, but you are right to worry about if something should go wrong. While you are young, you have a child which immediately adds ten years to your age (unless you are on teenage moms on television, which decreases it...but I won't discuss that LOL). My only caution is that you do need that network of support, especially with a two year old because even if things go perfectly you'll have a lifting restriction of probably 15 lbs for six weeks after surgery. Thats a 2 year old Or a load of laundry, or groceries.... I don't know how much you have to lose, but I myself actually regret the surgery. The risk I went under and the close brush with death while my child really needed me causes great personal guilt. If you aren't a high BMI (I was not) I'd wait til the little one is a bit older. But perhaps you have comorbidities or are in a weight category that increases your risk by not having the surgery???? Just my two cents They're worth about a nickel but then I'm a banker...I like to add differently than others- French Onion Soup
- Wine! No Really...a Question For Serious Wine Drinkers :)
I am two months and/or two weeks out from surgery but my doc said I can taste and spit to get my palate back. I am doing fine on whites, but reds all taste like they've gone bad. Pinot Noir is a favorite and I don't want to miss out on drinking every bottle in the cellar with DH LOL Did you find your palate went off after surgery when you jumped back onto the happy bus? Does this go away????? This is a tragedy LOL- Day 14 Post Op Hospitalized For Leak!

- Tired Of Protein & Not Ready For Mushy Foods
I just started mushies after my second go around on liquid Protein and it's so much easier! I had a soft scrambled egg with ketchup (LOL) this morning and a little fish for lunch and I'm at 24g. I will add ten g of protein powder to some yogurt later and that's another 15. Likely salmon for dinner and if I need it I have a glass of oveltine with two cups 0 fat milk (17g) and meet my goal. Since you like liquid the oveltine might be a good addition. I'm shooting for meeting my protein without protein powder within the next two weeks. I want a more natural diet. but that glass of chocolate milk might end up being my friend for a while as long as my goal is 60 (it goes down to 45/50 after 8 weeks). I actually do struggle with the liquids, but my goal is only 48 oz.- A Little Embarrasing...implant - What Size?

Kids...when people ****** on this forum all the time about prejudice they've felt being "fat" it seems a bit odd that this thread is expressing the same prejudice over and over again. She's expressed her reasoning, and frankly it makes good sense. Much like me she's trying to nip something in the bud, she's just younger..she's not 15. She's an adult who knows her issues and her body (and we have no "right" to know it). I don't know why everyone I speak with in this forum decided on this drastic step. I don't need to know. I assume the decision is theirs to make as are the consequences of the decision. The fact that she's smaller than many of us does not mean she owes us more. She came here for support...let's not be mean fat people to her cuz she's not fat enough for gads sake! There is so much prejudice here! It's actually hard to read. Prejudice against someone for ANY LEVEL of weight is wrong. Can't we treat her like we treat each other? Kindly with some support, no matter her weight?- Am I Loosing Fast Enough? before you beat her up....my surgery was cosmetic as well. i had more to lose but basically it was to look better.- Day 14 Post Op Hospitalized For Leak!

I think your mini goals are great . (But get the iPhone with a computer generated dog app....much easier than a real dog and no poop to scoop!). Lol- Sleeve Experiences - Negative?
My story is in the story section (called the one you don't want to hear but should). I had it in Edmonds wa at a surgical center (mistake one....this should not be outpatient surgery!) I was near death when I went back to hospital the third time and had to have multiple procedures and surgery again to come back to my family last week. And I'm still in limbo as to if I will be going back and if I will retain my stomach. IMO this is a surgery for those with over 40bmi and comorbidities. For anyone else it's not worth the risks.Account
