  1. I hope you get hydrated well there. Let us know how you feel afterwards.
  2. That would be great! My wife and I love picnics. Might I suggest the Seattle Woodland Park Zoo, over the summer so at least it will not be raining. LOL! Did you get you surgery done at Swedish WLS Center or another WLS center? I have also heard NWWLS center in south Everett / mill creek area is also very good (off of I5 at 128th).
  3. For those needing to get electrolytes after a hard workout, race or just from sleeve related dehydration, pedialyte is a good alternative to Gatorade at 10 calories/8 oz. It can be found at most stores that carry vitamins and minerals.
  4. I just realized today I am burning 1000+ calories when running for an hour (6.5 miles again today). At least that is what the treadmill told me when my weight got entered today. Overall, felt OK but am wondering about my caloric intake because it is low. I eat between 100 and 150 calories a meal for 5-6 means a day, mostly Protein. I try and eat veggies where I can for 2 of the meals. Thanks to BTB, my second meal is a pair of energy squares 30 min before run. After the run, I have another Protein shake. How many calories should I be targeting per day with this much training? I have noticed my shirt and shorts size has dropped from a men's L to a M in the last month and am comfortably wearing size 34 jeans. Almost done with weight loss- getting a few lbs from175 lb goal. Still keeping the lean muscle with high protein and strength training on alternate days( will not need any skin surgery). I want to keep running for an hour every other day to work on my 10 k training. 5k is getting pretty good at average between 28-30 min when running 10 k distance, but I do some active recovery by knocking the speed down for a couple minutes at the 30 m mark.
  5. Wow, good job. Victory is yours!
  6. The question is whether this shot passes the OTR test or not ? LOL!
  7. Barley water, now there is a remedy that I have not about before.
  8. Chia seeds are gods gift to man. They are small seeds that consume 10x their weight in Water. They have a lot of good nutritional components for us sleevers: Protein, Omega 3 fatty acids, etc.
  9. Congrats! You are a success !
  10. The question is who would win in a boxing match: kangaroo or ostrich?
  11. Yeah, you definitely need to have one! BTB and I will start one for you. Oh and I will invite Fyre and the rest of your gang.
  12. Go Seahawks!!! OH yeah, they didn't make it. Super Bowl party here in t minus 1 hour. Can't wait! And just for the record, I am eating chicken meatballs even though I am surrounded by the usual Super Bowl grub and drink. Oh woe is me. the life of a Sleever that continues to host parties.
  13. You put a smile on my face Laura. I love reading your posts.
