  1. Y'all need to realize all docs are different! Mine should be taken out Tuesday (which will be 8 days post op) but still has some drainage coming out! I guess they use at as a gauge! And it's not uncomfy just annoying!
  2. Thanks Angie! No test for leaks! But my surgeon is the one that sent me in but for a poss blood clot that apparently isn't! Then when I called the office back after going to eR he was concerned but when I told him it went back down to 90 it seemed to calm him down! Thank you for the encouragement!
  3. So I have to be honest...I have the rapid pulse symptom of a leak only (150 at ER this morning)and I can't help but wonder if the drastic change could be that it's leaking inside and nothing there to come outside I'm a worrier too and have been very weepy today!
  4. WHat would be a guess of what normal drainage for 4 days post op? Just kinda weird yesterday there was about 30 cc and today maybe 5cc! I realize everyone is different and the goal is to have none! Just is kinda odd
  5. A little relieved...doc called back and was good with what ER doc said and said that blood clots don't usually form a knot on the area that usually your whole ankle/leg is tender and swollen and he made me feel much better!! He was more concerned about my heart rate but it's ok now so he said keep my upcoming appt on tues!!
  6. My surgery was Monday so I'm certainly not craving anything! What I'm having a hard time with is subconsciously reaching for a bite of something! Not that I wanted it... Just habit
  7. Thank u! I do have a call into the doc that referred me to the ER to begin with! I will see how he feels about the ER doc brushing me off...
  8. Not my legs but that sot does...wish I could trust the ER doc that it isn't clot related but he seemed to dismiss the thought so fast!
  9. No their office is closed that's the whole reason he sent me to ER
  10. And I will also add its not red and not hot! He had me somewhat convinced it wasn't a clot...somewhat is the key!
  11. Very frustrated just got back from ER after having them practically laugh at me for come to the ER for a lump on my foot! He said they wouldn't even do an ultrasound on my foot and suggested I go to a podiatrist! My surgeon assumed they'd do an ultra sound! All they were concerned about was my 150 heart rate which went down to 90 eventually!
  12. Just noticed a rather large lump on the side of my foot it isn't warm or red but a little painful! 4 days post-op...thoughts? I'm def gonna have it looked at this morning when they open! I'm pretty sure it wasn't there before surgery!
  13. M post op 3 days still dealing with it just annoying!
  14. Yea nurse said if I change out the gauze try not to remove the steri strip! Why do u ask?
  15. Am 3 days post surgery! My gauze on the belly button wound has quite a bit of brownish discharge! Called office today they said its probably dry blood! Anybody else?
  16. One thing a nutritionist once told me..it takes 3500 calories to either lose or gain a pound. So, if you know you aren't eating 3500 extra calories then relax its only fluid or something like that!
  17. It's listed that we can use milk of magnesia for help with this! Wondering if cherry milk of magnesia is ok as well?
  18. In my opinion, 8-10 yrs isn't long term! Don't mean to sound argumentative
  19. I lost over 100 lbs back in 08-09 without surgery! I bought all kinds of new clothes and thank the lord I kept them praying I will get back in them! It's just nice to be able to shop on a regular ladies dept and not full figure shops that charge you double! I'm 4 days post op and looking forward to those cuter clothes!
  20. I have done a lot of research, talked to lots of people...and when I found out that it's just as easy to gain back on either one...I chose the sleeve because it was less involved than the bypass and less risk. Any of them you will have to work at it! And your doc can't possibly say he's seen better long term results on the sleeve bcuz it's so new! All I know is you will have to make up your mind to work it cuz either way you go it's not going to work itself! I'm only 4 days post op but work in a hosp and know that the sleeve is the newest phenomenon!
  21. Can someone please tell me how to add a pic from my iPhone app I'm using?
  22. Hi, I'm from Beaumont and 3 days out doing pretty good!
  23. No problems getting things down but finding I'm only getting about 45 ml or what ever the marker is! I know it's suppose to be 60 but it's hard! Do you still have trapped gas in your left shoulder area?
  24. It's not exactly that I didn't want to take the pain meds I just had such minimal pain it seems! Plus if I did take it , it made me nauseated! But I am glad to know there is Tylenol in the lortab!
