  1. It's been a year since my surgery, and I've lost a total if 25 lbs. Every day is a struggle to watch what I eat. Dr isn't happy with weight loss and would like to do a revision, sleeve or bypass. What's worse is hubby went on calorie counting binge and has lost over 50 lbs. every day I hear how much fiber, protein, and calories he has eaten. I gets numerous ?s on what we are having, what is a serving, etc. He's driving me nuts, and all I want to do is crawl in a hole and eat. It's hard when you have no one to help you over the humps.
  2. I had lap band sx in July 2012. We started dieting in June, me with per-op liquid diet and him counting calories. Since then he is all about how much he lost, gained, ate, walked . . . Etc. each and very day for the last 9 months that is all I've heard. I'm having my own troubles, but it is all about him. I've just had my 3rd fill, my weight is going down, but it is so slow. Only lost a total of 26 lbs, want to and need to lose more.

    Too Much Food

We've had company for the past several days and I've been tempted to eat more. But the more I'm eating is protein. I'm having about 3 ozs of turkey breast for lunch and dinner plus an oz of fruit or vegetables. This AM for breakfast I had 2 slices of bacon, cantaloupe and 3 bites of a breakfast casserole and was very full. I've noticed no weight loss, but I haven't had a fill yet, sx 7/10. Do you lose more weight once you get a fill? Or am I going to have to go back to protein shakes to jump start the losing process again?

    Walking - Help!

2nd week of walking 1 lap, but today I could barely lift my legs up. They weren't sore, just heavy. I've had both knees replaced and lots or arthritis. Walking is good for you, but I need something else for days like today. I was a couch potato! But am really trying to exercise. Hubby walks 2 miles every morning, but I can't walk that fast. Any ideas?

    Never Before!

Today was my 6th day of walking 1/3 mile. But after dinner, I went for a 2nd lap. I'll pay for this tomorrow, but it was worth it.

    Hungry

Swelling must be going down, last night first time I was hungry. How do you get through the hunger pains? I'm walking in the AM, but that shouldn't affect late night hunger.
  7. I have my 1st appt after last weeks sx. Scared, especially since I constantly feel full. I know I'm pushing it, but last night for dinner I had 1 oz lean turkey breast with my soup. No problems, as I chewed well and took small bites. My problem is constipation. Got to have some relief. And sx is leaving me with an UTI. Great!! Did walk 1/3 mile the last two days - next week walking 2/3 mile.
  8. Banded 7/10. Not hungry, feel full all the time. Drinking protein shakes, but always feel full. Have a 14cc band, don't know how much was put in during sx. Is this how I'm suppose to feel? I'm staying on a schedule and forcing myself to eat.

    Surgery

Surgery was Tuesday. No pain, no gas. Feel pretty good. Still have to be on protein shakes and clear liquids. Would really like some cream of wheat.

    Surgery

So scared that I'm going to fail. Sx is Tuesday, 7/10, and just going through the doubt phase. I'll be honest, I did cheat today, I ate 1 oz of lean turkey. For the last 8 days it's been nothing but protein shakes and clear liquids. And tomorrow I start 48 hrs of clear liquids only. I'm ready for solid food - cream of wheat, soup, something anything. I've lost 10 lbs, but am afraid of failure.

    Scared

Hi, my name is Vicki and my sx is scheduled for 7/10. It's thw waiting and pre-op diet that is scaring me. I'm having a hard time with the liquid diet due to low blood sugars. I'm getting shakey between protein shakes. Im following the plan, but seem to need more. I've only been on liquids since Friday and have lost 10 lbs. Is this good?
