Hello single people! This is the least active group that I follow, single people unite! We need the support this forum offers more than anyone. without a spouse/special friend where do we go for support? I am scheduled for surgery 8/31, not only am I going through surgery alone but I am traveling to MX alone. Plus, I have not told very many people, just a couple of friends and no family members yet. I will tell them just not yet, I am not sure I am up to explaining to everyone, right? Everyone of us have our own excuse for getting fat in the first place, my excuse is without no one there to watch me eat I simply eat whatever I want, whenever I want. I think if I had someone there I wouldn't eat so much. What difficulties are you experiencing as a single sleever or about to be sleeved?

So excited to have found this group! My surgery date is 8/31 with Dr Garcia in TJ MX, self pay of course. I am 55, 5'4" currently 194 with a high of 205. I have exactly the same story ... yoyo dieting, keeping the surgery quite because of the naysayers. Thanks for the encourging words.

From what I have read it happens to most everyone to one degree or another around the 4 month mark. I have started all my vitamins preop, plus biotin. Not sure if it will help but it sure can't hurt. I also went and got my hair cut and layered all over and it looks really thick now. I color my hair on a regular basis, I am thinking I will color it right before surgery and try to make it last as long as possible. Just my thoughts ...

Dlmeekie, I am guessing you haven't started your preop yet. We are about the same weight wise and I start my preop two weeks prior to surgery. Right now I am focusing on no sugar, caffine or artificial sweetner on my own just to help ease the transition when it comes. I didn;t want to go to a liquid diet while I still had sugar issues. I am 1 week sugar free and feel so much better. I have lost any weight but that wasn't my goal. BTW ( I had Taco Bell today to, but no coke LOL) I will shoot for a better dinner.

Hi dr_surgeon, how are you feeling since your surgery? Mine is scheduled for 8/31, I haven't started my pre op yet but I am taking steps in that direction. Any advise for us in the pre op stage?

My surgery is 8/31 with Dr Garcia, what is your date? I sent my deposit via credit card, but I am taking the balance with me via cashiers check. As I understand it, I am supposed to send a fax of the cashiers check 1 week prior to my surgery date. Why are you paying upfront?
