We are hoping for an October 15th date, but if it isn't possible, October 23rd it will be!! I'm in MD, going over to my home state of WV with Dr. Akkary.

Also... I had that happen to me the day before my EGD. I have not been sleeved yet. We are hoping for an October 15th date. Let us know how everything goes...

I'm not sure if you live near a Walmart or not...but, I buy my daughter the generic form of Zyrtec from there and it is a liquid. It has adult dosing info on the bottle, too. I know they also sell the generic form of Claritin in a liquid. Good luck!!!

My Dr does a leak test after he is finished the surgery. He said he puts saline or something in your abdominal cavity and pumps air into your stomach via your mouth.... no bubbles means no leaks.

I've been to Brandywine...lol. I live in Garrett County, MD. Also, I am supposed to get sleeved on or around October 15th.

I have a hiatal hernia. I had my upper scope done and the Dr found it. He said he would repair it during my vsg surgery. Have any of you ever had this? I heard that it makes recovery a little more painful or difficult... just trying to hear from people who have lived it before me. Thanks in advance!!!

Just wanted to update you all... I had the scope done today. They found a hiatal hernia, which the Dr is going to fix whenever I get my sleeve done. We were originally shooting for a surgery date of October 15th, but it looks like it will be later than that now... :-/ Anyone ever have a hernia repair at the same time as the sleeve?

No fever, as of yet...I hope I don't get one. Thank you!

Bumping...

So, I have an upper GI scope scheduled for tomorrow morning. My Dr. scheduled it because I have really bad reflux. He wants to make sure I don't have any issues that would prevent me from having the sleeve done. So...to get to the point... I woke up with (what I think is) a sinus infection or maybe just horrible allergies... I am not fevered, as of right now. Do you think they will still do the scope? I know only the hospital/dr office will know for sure, but there isn't anyone in until tomorrow for me to ask. So, I figured I would ask you all.... *fingers crossed*
