  1. I had the vertical band done on April 23, although I had no problems intially after the surgery, I have since been sick for the last week and a half. I am nauseous all of the time and at times have waves of being very sick. Its very strange since this is the first nausea I have experienced since the surgery. I seem to feel this way whether I eat or not. To add to the frustration, the scale has not moved in over a month. Curious if anyone else experienced being sick around the 8 week mark?

    Utterly Frustrated

Loveisbeauty2 I hope you feel better soon. I mistyped I had the vertical sleeve. I am taking nausea meds and they work for a little while, but it comes back. Worried about not getting enough protein and calories in, but it tricky when food makes it worse.

    6 Weeks

Can hardly believe that it has been 6 weeks since my surgery. Had my 6 week post op check-up this week and the surgeon was not happy with the amount of weight I have lost, which is discouraging because I have been following my diet regime precisly. I realize that everyone has stalls, but to have my surgeon tell me that he is concerned I am not losing enough is a little frustrating. On the positive side, I have been cleared to exercise and do strength training, which is great, but I am having a hard time motivating myself to do it. Hopefully this next week I can start a good routine that I can maintain. A journey starts one step at a time..

    Grrrrrr!

My surgery was two days before yours and I am having a similar problem. The scale stayed the same for weeks 2, 3, and 4. Once I increased my calories to 900, the scale started to move,,slowly, but at least its moving. Especially once you start adding more exercise, it is important to increase your calories to between 800-1000 calories. Hang in there, I know it can be frustrating, but it will start moving again.
